Born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. My wife, Kristen and I moved out to AZ over 11 years ago and together we have a beautiful little girl, Aislyn. When not at work, I like watching my hometown Steelers and Penguin games, or a quiet night at home with my family. I also enjoy taking my family on outdoor adventures (hiking, fishing, and camping) enjoying our beautiful, sunny state in either of our Subarus. I also enjoy taking my daughter to her favorite spots (the Zoo, Odysea, etc.) I have been in the Auto industry for over 10 years, and have been with Subaru for the past 9. It’s a brand I love and believe in and find it easy to stand behind(I own two myself!) I take pride in providing a GREAT customer experience helping to get them into the car they want! Good things come to those who WAIT Had a small but deep scratch on my new Forester that we noticed when we picked up the vehicle. They said come back the next day and they will buff it out. We also noticed a bubble and scratch in the tint on the small front Window. Honestly it took a little longer than I thought it should (my unprofessional opinion) and I was getting a little impatient. BUT, at that time I was not aware that I was not on the service schedule and that they had squeezed me into a very busy Friday schedule. (Now I know and I appreciate that, Thank you) Man, when I saw the great job they did with the scratch I was happy. And the tint of course was like new. So thank you to the Subaru team that worked on my vehicle, Great Job. And I apologize if I was a little impatient with the service advisor, Adam, he is a very patient and laid-back professional. Thanks for squeezing me on the list and thanks for making that scratch disappear and thanks for fixing the tint. See you soon for some darker tint. :) Loving my new Forester and super happy to have a Dealership with employees like that. ( I would like to note that their waiting area is one of the nicest of all the dealerships I have been to. Free water, snacks, soda machine, CP charging tables, TV, Kids area and of course looking at some really nice vehicles in very clean and bright showroom.) More

YUP Right from the start we could tell Tom Darby understood the car buying experience from a Customers point of view because he was not pushy or clingy Right from the start we could tell Tom Darby understood the car buying experience from a Customers point of view because he was not pushy or clingy or annoying. He gave us space but was never to far away that we had to go look for him. And he wasn’t watching us like we were going to steal something, Yah, You all know the feeling I am talking about. He is very very knowledgeable about the Subaru’s and all of the competition in the Forester and Outback class of vehicles. He explained everything in detail including the price and financing. Tom has LOTS of patience and explained everything including what is the best option for our situation. Anyway, we chose the Forester. It was the easiest, fastest and smoothest vehicle purchase I have ever had. It almost seems like Tom was working for us, helping us buy a car from the dealer. Not like he was trying to sell us the car. I will definitely recommend Tom Darby if your looking for a Subaru. More

It all started at the Phoenix Auto Show My husband and I knew we were in the market for 2 new cars after moving to AZ from CA, and the Phoenix Auto Show was happening, so we decided to go se My husband and I knew we were in the market for 2 new cars after moving to AZ from CA, and the Phoenix Auto Show was happening, so we decided to go see a lot of cars all at once. We were so glad we did because not only was Subaru presenting their cars at the show, they were also offering test drives on site - SO SMART! So before we even went inside we did a test drive of every Subaru model available. Our favorites were the Forester and the Ascent. Then when we into the show itself, we were greeted by Tom Darby, and we immediately hit it off with him. Sometimes you just know. We could tell he was a genuine person, and not someone purely in it to sell us a car. We had a great conversation, I asked him a TON of questions and he was very knowledgeable about all the Subaru models they were showing. He invited us to come to the dealership in Gilbert, and take an extended test drive, which we did the following week. Again, Darby met us with a smile and friendly attitude, and we appreciated the opportunity to test drive on the freeway, and around town, and try out all the bells and whistles of the new models. From then we decided we both wanted to buy new 2019 Foresters but we also knew we had to wait until the Spring to make our purchases. We let Darby know our timeline, and made an appointment to follow up with him again after the new year. In January once we had completed our home sale and new purchase, we were finally ready to take the next step and order the new cars, so we asked Darby to help us put in our deposit and orders. We really appreciated how Darby was upfront about discounts for Costco members, so we went ahead with that plan. Our cars arrived very quickly to the dealership and we were so excited to pick them up once they arrived! The purchase experience was very simple, with Darby helping manage the team including Chloe in Tech and Mark in Finance. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant, friendly experience, and we look forward to attending our new car training classes, so we can truly learn to use 1000% of the fun tech and safety tools in our new 2019 Foresters! THANK YOU SO MUCH Darby for your experience, excellent customer service and friendly attitude! We will definitely recommend you to all our friends and family who are in the market for a new car! More

The best and most professional dealership you can walk into Subaru superstore as a whole is ran like a high line premium brand dealership with no corners cut when it comes to customer service. That is what my wife and I experienced when we purchased our 2019 Subaru WRX from Darby. From beginning to end it was a very fluid transaction with all the needs met and questions answered. I also worked with a new finance guy there Alex who was very informative and not pushy at all in the finance department. Rob Daily was our sales manager and made the point to come out and thank us for our business with sincerity. Miss Chloe was spot on with her delivery as well if our new car. 10/10 would recommend others to buy here for the best brand on the market. More
