Cannot recommend This week I purchased a Subaru Forester from Manly Honda. I traded in a Civic, and I got a fair but not great amount for my trade in. I worked with Ma This week I purchased a Subaru Forester from Manly Honda. I traded in a Civic, and I got a fair but not great amount for my trade in. I worked with Mark, who was straightforward and patient, though he knew almost nothing about the car he sold me. I like that Manly has prices posted on the vehicles and online, and I felt that Mark was honest and fair in negotiating a selling price for the vehicle. HOWEVER, the car was dirty inside when we drove it. I asked when we first sat in it, if they would detail it if I purchased it. Mark said, "Yes, of course. Just point out where you see something you need cleaned." Nothing needed pointing out to any aware observer. There were spills inside each rear door, food crumbs (and even a whole soybean) in the console and on the floor, a spill on the emergency brake and on the floor behind the passenger front seat. There were crumbs and food particles on the rear seats, and the back mat for the hatchback was filthy. I asked FIVE more times about detailing. After the test drive, when bringing a friend down to check out the vehicle, when leaving to have a coffee break to do some thinking, when I came back to finalize the purchase (all on the same day), and I was told it would be done while I went through the LONG financing wait. When I finally got my vehicle after 90 minutes at the finance department, it was almost 8pm and my car was STILL dirty. Mark told me he couldn't see where it was dirty, and then told me that "They can't get EVERYTHING off." I proceeded to show him how I could wipe some of the mess off with my finger and that the soybean (and other crumbs) were still there. He then told me I could bring it back if I wanted to leave it for a couple of hours, but he still couldn't promise it would be "perfect" because the folks working in the shop don't speak English and he doesn't speak Spanish. I am not looking for perfection. Just a clean car. This one wasn't even vacuumed. I have not returned to spend another two hours waiting, because I live 45 minutes away and don't just have 3.5 hours to give up for them to do what they should have done in the first place. More

From the initial phone conversation to the moment we drove away in our new Honda CRV, we were given great service, helpful advice, and even notable kindness to our 4-year old kiddo who came along. Tom helped us narrow down our preferences and then compare various options, including HRVs and used CRVs. Once we decided on the model, he went with us on a test drive (in what ended up being our new car!), and he helped us notice key features of the car and patiently answered all our questions. We felt like we were able to get a good deal on the car, and then we could still afford some coverage, which is helpful in the long run. What I liked most about working with Tom was how thorough and patient he was to help us understand our new car and to make us feel comfortable with each decision. I also want to mention the facility--There is a kids area that has books, toys, and 2 ipads, so it helped us immensely to have a place for our child to play while we handled all the paperwork. Tom was helpful in bringing over the papers that I needed to sign while I watched my kiddo, and to top it off, he was really engaging with her, making the whole experience one of learning and enjoyment for her, and a car purchase success for us! We settled on the model, colors, etc. and he was able to find the car for us within a day. He carefully went through all the features of our car before we went to see the sales manager to pay for the car.
