Long time customer of Smithtown, having purchased several cars from them. This recent experience changed my view of Smithtown Toyota. To begin with the salesman (Tom Matthews) was curt and self absorbed. The cars from them. This recent experience changed my view of Smithtown Toyota. To begin with the salesman (Tom Matthews) was curt and self absorbed. The dealership decided to take advantage of families during what's been described as a "chip shortage" and charge a self imposed increase of 10 % above MSRP on all vehicles. This despite the fact that the manufactures are not charging them any more money. When times are tough some businesses will hold the line and try to help their customers, while others will take advantage and gouge as much as they can. It is shameful what Smithtown Toyota is doing and I for one will never buy from them again. More
