After having purchased 7 cars with this dealership I have to terminate our relationship! Nick Salerno is the WORST and most dishonest -- they say he is the manager but I cannot believe anyone would leave th to terminate our relationship! Nick Salerno is the WORST and most dishonest -- they say he is the manager but I cannot believe anyone would leave their business in his hands. There could be some underlying issues I will not speak of here. Yvette was professional. Another salesman walked up to her desk and requested the keys to the vehicle she was getting ready to sell to us, had pulled out for us and was discussing with us -- she refused. He went and got Nick Salerno who came and took it from her and sold the vehicle we were there for to someone else! We were debating between 2 models of the same vehicle and decided to discuss the one we had originally went there to get -- she said "we can't." I asked why not? She said it was sold -- flabbergasted I asked if that was the vehicle they just came and took from her?! She replied "yes." Disgusting! I have never experienced anything as tactless and distasteful in a car dealership and prior to this experience -- Honda Universe felt like "family" to us. They said we could choose a different color or we they could get one from one of the four lots they own -- I told them that's what they should have done for the person to whom they sold "our vehicle!" It was the most bizarre experience. We currently have 2 financed and 1 leased vehicle from them and when the lease is up -- we will not be returning it to Honda Universe! We were not even thinking of purchasing a new car -- after all we have only had this one for 2 years with 22,000 miles and it's in excellent condition! They had just sent a letter that was worth looking into/considering. We left there immediately in the vehicle we arrived in, in the exact color for which we were looking! And when we decide to change the color of our vehicle, it will be done elsewhere! I guess the BEST part of the experience and relationship was truly in the hands of the sales team we previously worked with for the past 10 years! I have referred several people to them and now will inform them that IS NOT the same dealership! Besides their unethical business conduct, they have no regard for public health either; some were wearing face masks, some were wearing them under their chins, some under their noses and a couple not at all. I am a frontline nurse and have seen many patients and their families suffer due to the COVID virus, so for their ill regard of the importance of masking not knowing the health status of all who enter is despicable and I did say something to one salesman. To each his own -- but consider yourself forewarned! The next day Nick Salerno had the audacity to call to see if we were still in the market for a new vehicle, apologizing "because we were not able to work out a deal with no money down" even though he clearly stated that in the letter he sent to us and he never ran our credit which is GOOD! We could have put money down if it was going to be worth it in the end however we never got to that part of the conversation because the car was gone! We had only been there for a short time, the car was pulled in advance of us arriving so we could make a quick deal. I guess every customer is not considered equal and this is one customer that not only they have lost but I may stop driving a HONDA because of this and everyone knows I love a Honda. I will return to DCH in Eatontown -- that is where my Honda journey began and they were ALWAYS wonderful; we just happened upon Honda Universe because of a Honda Pilot we saw across the street from them. Everything happens for a reason and I do not trust that dealership any longer -- no class! There are enough bad things occurring that owe cannot control -- we certainly do not have to accept bad experiences of which we have full control! More

I went to the dealership with my grandmother to look into leasing a Honda Civic. Generally, I would expect buying or leasing a car to be a long drawn out process but Yvette made the process as quick and eas leasing a Honda Civic. Yvette was friendly and easy to talk to. Overall we are very happy with our experience. More

I recently purchased a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, from Honda Universe. I purchased the vehicle at night. A few days later , I noticed that the front tires were a little worn. No worries, It's a used Honda Universe. I purchased the vehicle at night. A few days later , I noticed that the front tires were a little worn. No worries, It's a used vehicle and this is normal wear and tear. So , I get two new tires and and ask for a wheel alignment at a tire shop in Toms River. They replace the tires and tell me that they can not do the alignment because I need control arms and that it would cost 550.00. On 1/07/20 , I return to the dealership to see if the control arms were covered under my extended warranty. I was informed that these parts were not covered. I explained to my sales consultant Yvette Rivera - Coates and Sales Manager Glenn Swenson, what I was told at the tire shop. At this time , Mr. Swenson , and Mrs. Coates , spoke with Service Manager Wayne Gross and explained to him what I was told about the control arms. Mr. Gross and Service Dept . Foreman David Plewa , looked at my vehicle and informed that I did not need control arms. I was relieved at this news as the above named employees demonstrated great customer service and loyalty to their customers. They saved me a bunch of money for a repair that was not needed. Great Customer Service Once , Again. I just scheduled my wheel alignment and oil change to be done next week with the Honda Universe Team. Five Stars Across the board!!! More

Yvette , was great in finding me the vehicle that would be perfect for me , in regards to leisure and work needs. She was very professional and courtesy . She did not try pushing a vehicle on me . Glenn , came by to check on me and to see if their was anyhing he could do or get me. Great Staff !!! Great Service !!!.I will definitely be back in the future to buy my next vehicle. Instantly when i walked in i felt like i was at home, and they got me in my first owned car I’ve tried many times to get a car from other dealerships this is the first one that actually worked with me even s they got me in my first owned car I’ve tried many times to get a car from other dealerships this is the first one that actually worked with me even stayed later then that had to to help me get a car.
