My oil change was done incorrectly causing me to have to leave my car out of town due to no more oil in my car. I called the service department and Zack didn’t apologize for the inconvenience this caused me leave my car out of town due to no more oil in my car. I called the service department and Zack didn’t apologize for the inconvenience this caused me. I had to pay for a ride back home and share a car on Monday. He sent a tech out to my car to fix it… in the street, and left it there when I told him I lived over an hour away from where the car was left. He expected me to get it myself and when I responded that I didn’t feel safe driving it back, he said the tech had driven the car and didn’t notice anything else wrong. This was a lie according to a nearby doorbell camera and my LoJack app showing no trips made that day. He told me they would not waste hundreds of dollars to tow a car that was driving fine and that they had already fixed the issue and nothing else could be done. He said he would have to ask his service director what could be done and I asked him to have the director contact me directly. Ten minutes later he called back saying he was busy and he decided himself that he would send people out to bring my car back, clean all the oil that was spilled underneath my car, rims and trunk, and have it delivered. If he was able to make this decision on his own, why did he need to speak to the service director? Such an unacceptable fix and a stressful situation as I was on the phone all day at work because of this. The tech that showed up the first time wasn’t even prepared and had to ask my brother in law for a bucket for the oil waste. Not to mention their driveway has oil stains running down it because the remaining oil came out once I arrived. I don’t understand how this was a proper assessment of any damage caused to my car. I can’t believe how the service department treated me and this issue. Did not expect this at all from Honda Racine and hope this doesn’t happen to any other customers. More
