We appreciate your long history with the Mercedes-Benz brand and are genuinely sorry to hear that the vehicle did not meet your wife’s expectations. We understand how disappointing that can be, especially when the purchase was intended as a gift. That said, once a vehicle purchase is completed, titled, and reported as sold, it is no longer eligible to be returned or resold as a new or Certified Pre-Owned vehicle under manufacturer guidelines. This is a standard policy across the industry, not unique to our dealership. We did explore options with you, including assisting with a trade, which is typically the most efficient way to pivot into a different vehicle while minimizing impact. The alternative request to restructure the transaction through a third-party broker or dealer is not something we are permitted to facilitate due to manufacturer and legal requirements. We always aim to be transparent and fair in every transaction, and while we understand this was not the outcome you were hoping for, our team did provide guidance based on what is both allowable and in your best interest given the circumstances.
