My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

My wife and I moved to NJ from Japan, and were looking for a car for commute and everyday life.
After visiting some other dealerships, I bought my GTI and my wife's Beetle from Jim Lazos at Princeton Volkswagen.
We did it twice with him because it was the best shopping experiences ever among those we had in the States.

Jim's respectful, considerate and customer-centric attitude was quite distinct from others'.
He was always "with us" from the beginning to the end to help us make purchases that would be truly satisfying, understanding our needs correctly, thinking together with us and providing appropriate options and information.
Negotiation for both purchases were smooth and transparent.
They offered a good deal for us that was convincing to let us make final decisions.
Alex Hilgetag was again very considerate and helpful for both purchases.

My experiences at car dealerships were always terrible and they were the places that I never wanted to visit again.
Salespeople were like "buy it today or go home", always being pushy and disrespectful.
But Jim and Princeton Volkswagen was different.
Visit them and I'm sure you will be another happy customer of them.

My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

I purchased a 2008 Audi A4 wagon over the internet. I failed to ask whether the car was a smoker's car, and found out too late in the transaction that it was an issue. I decided to go ahead with the transaction because Jackie assured me you had done everything possible to eliminate the odor, and that it was barely detectable by one person out of the three that she asked. I didn't even have to get in the car to smell the smoke once it arrived - this is something you should make clear to anyone buying a car - how could you possibly sell this car without it being noted? Audi standards of excellence require you to be upfront about this being a smoker's car. I'm sure that's why the first buyer decided not to buy it, but they obviously had the advantage of smelling the car in person - it would have been appropriate to note to others that's why the sale did not go through. In addition to the smoking issue, I was told there would be a temporary tag on the car when it was shipped so I could drive it when it arrived - there was no temporary tag. I was told it wasn't an S-line car - it is an S-line car, it says right on the front grille. The original paperwork was sent to an incorrect address, delaying the transaction. Once the paperwork did arrive, it had an incorrect sales price. All in all, this is the worst vehicle transaction I have ever been involved with - you should not be allowed to sell Audi's, because the standards of excellence that I've experienced at local Audi dealer's far surpass your capabilities.

My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

I went to Princeton Audi on a Tuesday to look at a used S5 cabriolet. The car had a worn interior, had not been detailed and the engine insulation was burned, which did not look promising. The salesperson showed me the certified checklist stating that the tires were new but they also appeared worn down. On Friday I saw a different one year old S5 on their website and made an appointment to see it the next day. After a test drive, I made an offer on the car. During negotiation someone else came in, a salesperson asked for the key from my salesperson and they test drove the car. While negotiating with me about price they sold the car to the other person! Their response: "Sorry." No offer to help find a similar car. Nothing. I was in disbelief and left. The following Monday I sent out email requests to five area Audi dealers asking for their best price on a NEW S5 cabriolet. I inquired at Princeton Audi about the price of a new S5 and the salesperson told me there was absolutely NO WAY that the price could be lowered from dealer asking price. Lucky for me, I received a fantastic offer via phone from DCH Audi in Millburn within the hour of sending my email request for best price. Haggle free great price from DCH. I drove to DCH the next day, completed the registration paperwork and drove the S5 cab off the lot. Beautiful experience with DCH. (Bell Audi also quickly responded via email.) I prefer to purchase from a dealership that treats me in a professional manner. Princeton Audi lost a sale and future sales.
Princeton Audi's ZERO discount gets a ZERO rating from me.

My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

We had an excellent experience at Princeton Volkswagen. Jonathan was very personable, frank, and knowledgable. He made the process an enjoyable experience (he has a great sense of humor). The "quality of work" was rated a bit lower, as the dealership appeared to be somewhat short-staffed for a busy Saturday (however we were informed of this up front). Princeton VW handled our bureaucratic paperwork, which saved us valuable free time (as out-of-state purchasers). We found our car via their website, which was very-user friendly. I would recommend this salesman and dealership to someone else if they were interested in a Volkswagen.

My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

Hello,
I bought a Used Audi A6 over the last weekend at this dealership and I wanted to write a review based on my experience. I have been in search for a car for almost 2 months now and faced some very bad experiences at some Audi dealerships that I had to write a strong bad review for them. I also ran out of patience one time, that I had sent my review to the Audi of America advocates too.
Now that I had bought the car at this dealership and had a very good experience, especially from one Dave Thomas, it is my duty to write a good review too.
I am a review man, and in this day of internet, I read reviews prior to going to a place. May it be a new restaurant to have food, a bar to spend some time or a dealership to buy a car. I read some reviews on Cars.com but found a little unfavorable. But, the deal on the car was so tempting, that I landed at this place.
Service - I called them initially to find out if the car was available. The lady - Chelsea assigned me to Dave Thomas (Dave) to my luck. He said that the car is available and I can come over to see it. I drove 50 miles south to take a look at the car. He was kind enough to stay late to give me a test drive and since, i liked the car, I told him that I would be back on teh weekend. I scheduled an appointment and was there.
He assigned time for himself since I was coming. Even though he didnt know if I would buy the car or not, he allocated time for me Thats what I liked. He showed me the car for the second time again. And when I test drove the car the first time, I heard some sound, that he got it fixed by this time. THen we came to his desk to discuss over the numbers to finalize the deal. At that particular time, I became restless as I was freaking out about the monthly payments that I had to make. Dave was kind enough to talk to me, help me cool down and was good at his work. After the entire sale was done, though it was late for him, Dave waited for me get into my new car, and then spent another 20-30 minutes explaining me the basics of this new car, some of which I wouldnt have known, hadnt he told me. On the whole, I was able to udnerstand that Dave was very good at his job, and at the end of the day I was satisfied with the whole purchase process.

People I dealt with:
Chelsea - She did a good job of calling and emailing me at the right time, scheduling the appointments, and co-ordinating.
Greg Goodfriend - He was a little rude during the process, but we came down to the same page later, and after the entire sale process, he explained me the different options that I had to take or not, for some of which I opted to. He is the finance manager, who deals with the money. He was a nice person overall, but in the initial process, he was a little rusty coz of some prior meetings.
Dave Thomas - He was the salesman that I dealt with. A very gentle person, talks slowly, but he knows what hes selling. He has a very good knowledge about the cars hes selling, and for some points that he didnt know, he found out and explained them to me later, which i found impressive. He did not pressurize me to sign the credit approval document(which other dealers do). Overall a very good experience,

I would suggest people to go this dealership, and I would refer Dave thomas for sure to deal with..

Thank you
Phani

My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

BEWARE!! These guys are CROOKS!! We were at the dealership negotiating for pre-owned A5. After spending over an hour negotiating, we both agreed and shook hands. What we were not aware was they were negotiating with another customer for the same car in parallel. After finalizing the deal with us, other customer must have offered more money. The salesman came back and said they can't sell the car to us as they just sold it to other customer. This is SHAMELESS and CHEATING. They wasted our time in playing game to maximize their profit.

I will NEVER go to this dealership again. Save your time and money in going to another better dealership.

My Review Of Princeton Audi Volkswagen:

This has been the best car dealership we have ever worked with. We received a very friendly and warm response from Nikki and went to the dealership. She is a breath of fresh air! We then met with Jonathan who entertained us with his great sense of humor while we test drove 2 beetles. We purchased the car the next day once we made our decision on what car we were going to buy, as we knew we were not going anywhere else. We picked up the car that night after chatting with Nikki ( who followed up with me on her day off) and then Jonathon went over every detail of the car. We love the car and this dealership!

Excellent service. Was a pleasure working with Tarissa. She went above and beyond to make sure we got the best deal. She was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle, thoroughly explained the features and without any pressure or big sales pitch. Would definitely consider Princeton Auto for future needs.
