I recently purchased a 2025 Ford Bronco from Bates Ford, and I can’t say enough about how great the experience was with Scott Dickens. Having worked in automotive sales myself, I usually walk into a dealership very direct, well-researched, and only when I’m ready to make a deal. Because of that, I hold pretty high expectations. From the very start, Scott exceeded them. Unlike another Ford dealership I visited in Clarksville, Scott greeted my wife and me warmly and genuinely. He immediately grabbed the keys for multiple Bronco trims and colors I was interested in, making sure we could take our time and see exactly what fit our needs. As someone who’s been in sales, I appreciated how he asked all the right questions—focused on ensuring we got what we truly wanted while still moving the process forward efficiently. We ultimately landed on a black Bronco that had just arrived on the lot and hadn’t even been PDI’d yet. Scott apologized that it wasn’t cleaned up yet, but that didn’t bother us at all—it showed how new the vehicle really was. In fact, Scott’s first impression was so strong that while he was grabbing the keys, my wife said, “We’re buying from Scott today.” Scott kept the experience enjoyable, sharing stories and making us feel completely comfortable throughout the process. When it came time to work the numbers, both Scott and Joey, the manager, were open, transparent, and professional. No games, just honesty and respect. At the end of the day, it was the best dealership experience we’ve ever had. I’ll be recommending Scott and Bates Ford to everyone I know. The 30-minute drive from Nashville was absolutely worth it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to make the trip again.

Tyler was most helpful. Knowing what vehicles I wanted to test drive, Tyler quickly located them and facilitated the experience. He was very sensitive to my reactions as I drove each vehicle. Without pushing me towards either one, he shared his observations/insights about my test drive... so very helpful in helping me evaluate the pros and cons of each vehicle. I never felt rushed. I felt like Tyler was genuinely trying to fit a car to my needs an preferences. He was courteous, kind, and respectful. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions. This was definitely a "no pressure" experience. Everyone at the dealership was very helpful.

Dropped my F150 off two separate times in a little over six weeks for service for a loss in motor power. The service department charged us almost a $1000 for the first visit. Said they could not replicate the problem so therefore there was no repair to do under there policy in the 2nd visit. Third dropoff was by tow truck and we were told the truck needs a new motor. Incompetent is the least of this. Oh, and the service manager said, he does not care what motor it is, it should not last more than 100,000 miles!!

Wife called on a Tuesday to see if they can get her 2020 Expedition in for a service for AC. Service Department told my wife to come in at 7:30AM on Thursday and they would get the diagnostic done for her to see what was wrong with the AC. Wife shows up at the dealership & they asked her if she was dropping off the vehicle. She asked how long it would take to have the diagnostic done on the AC. Service person said it will be a week before they can even get the vehicle in to run the diagnostic test. We are will not be taking our vehicle to back to Greenwood Ford or buying anything from them if this is how service will be from them. Was told one thing on the phone and then a different thing in person. They didn't even offer a vehicle because they would have my wife's Expedition for a week before they could even look at the problem. Don't recommend taking or buying from Greenwood ever.

I have never written a review before but my experience at Hunt Ford has changed that. If a ZERO rating were possible that would be how I would have rated my experience of trying to buy a car from this dealership today. After making an appointment and driving almost an hour to the dealership to test drive a 2021 Ford Explorer ST and telling the sales person and his sales manager that my intent was to finance the vehicle through my bank with a $25,000 downpayment there was no problem at that time. I inquired about the $1000 discount Ford was offering but was told it only applies if financed through Ford. I still decided to pay full sticker price for the vehicle. There was a problem with a small scratch on the rear bumper and was told that it would be fixed or replaced. So no problem so far. There was also a problem with my new iPhone 12 not working with the vehicles wireless charger but still not a deal breaker. I told the sales person and sales manager I would like to check out one other dealership and hopefully I would return to purchase the Explorer ST. After I left the dealership I decided to look no further and called to let them no my intention to buy from them. I asked for a purchase offer for my bank and was willing to give them a credit card payment as a good faith deposit and return in the morning to pick up the vehicle. So far so good. Then I got a call back from the sales person and he told me the dealerships owner said they would only sell me the vehicle if I financed through them. Bottom line they were very unprofessional. DO NOT waist your time with this dealership if you expect to be valued as a customer, treated with respect and honesty and you intend to finance through your bank.

My Pontiac sensor indicated the engine needed to be checked. I was told that it would cost about $45 for the initial check. Then I was told it was the transmission and that would cost approximately $2450 but that they could flush it and put in new fluid for about $200 which I agreed to. That didn't fix it so they then told me the car had an oil leak that would be about $650. They could look at it again and possibly do a partial transmission fix for about $800. I asked what the car would then be worth and was told that it would be about $3000 less the cost of fixing it. That would mean I would be paying them more money than the car was worth and have nothing. The sales people started calling to try to get me to trade the car when I had made it clear that I had no intention of buying another Pontiac. I took my car to another establishment for a second opinion and found that it had could be (an was) repaired for $178.12 in one day. Woodford Motors had my car for three days and could only tell me how much it was going to cost. In my estimation the whole thing was a set-up to cheat me and/or get me to buy a new car. The only other possiblility was that the mechanic knows absolutely nothing. In either case, people need to know to not take a car there for repair because they certainly will be 'taken to the cleaners'!!!!
