My 2005 Ford Explorer SportTrac started going downhill in March 2022. I knew I wanted a Ford Ranger and living in Austin, I called almost every dealership in Austin/San Antonio with no luck. My dad has used Sam Pack for the last 3 years and always says great thinks so I decided to give them a call. I was put in touch with Terry Smith. Terry was the only dealer out of the dozens I contacted who mentioned and recommended ordering a vehicle. He explained the whole process and that is what we decided to do. It was a very simple process and Terry was upfront with everything, which I greatly appreciated! While the estimate arrival was 8-14 weeks, unfortunately it took 8 months with no fault to the dealership. In that 8 months, Terry would call me at least twice a month for updates even if there wasn’t anything new and was always extremely responsive if I had any questions. When the vehicle was in transit, Terry would provide me with weekly updates. I couldn’t be happier with my new Ford Ranger and the experience going through Sam Pack. I highly recommend Terry Smith for your next Ford vehicle and I will be sending anybody I know his way. 10 stars!!!!! Additionally, the finance dept (Mike) at Sam Pack was great. I’m a first time buyer and I didn’t feel stressed or pressured at all. Sam Pack knows how to get it done! More

We were greeted at the door by Jared Wingard, who turned out to be the best Ford representative ever. He was extremely patient as we vacillated between a new or used Ranger. Amazing experience from the time I walked in until I received the truck I ordered. I had a wonderful time buying my 2020 F150 Lead Foot, badass truck in August 2020. It went very smooth with RJ, the sales Mgr. and longtime Cowboy fan, like me. He gets his people started. Then RJ glided me over to the Dude, the Big Easy Salesman, Jared Wingard. He is smooth and cool and pressureless. He then rolled me to financial guru Mike Pisarik, the Okie, like me, and he was personable and efficient! So, I was elated, I had my brand new truck! How could it get better? Well, like dessert, the lovely Alexandra suddenly appeared . She desired to “make it MY Truck”. She helped personalize it for me with cool assessories that just seemed necessary. And today? I still love this truck! Now remember, as my late Dad, the original JP, used to say, “there ain’t nuthin free in this world!” For them to help me, I had to help them with 1. Great credit 2. Great attitude 3. Have enough money to not worry about it. You can’t take it with when your times up. It was a great place to buy a vehicle for me! More

We just purchased a very beautiful Smoked Quartz F150 FX4 King Ranch Pickup from Terry Smith at Sam Packs 5 Star Ford in Carrollton. Terry was a awesome sales associate to work with, very intuitive. I really wanted another Raptor but as their are none available at present (which I was very discouraged by) but Terry got a instant feel for what might cheer me up and with little a due, lead me right to a truck that was really everything I was looking for and more. The sound system in this truck as well as the new integrated control and entertainment systems are really a marvel to behold. The interior is really amazing with the highest level of features and options available. All I can say is Wow! The purchase and Finance department at this location are also very easy to work with and made the whole process very smooth. Also instead of a huge stack of papers all the documents are given on a convenient flash drive. Also of Special note Alexandra Benvenuto and Joseph Walker in the accessories and customization Department are really great to work with. They can get your new vehicle set up just how you want it. We are very pleased with the staff here at this location as this is the third truck we have purchased here. We will definitely be back for the next Ford we need. Thanks everyone! More

This was our first experience with 5-Star Ford in Carrolton, and overall I have to say that this dealership, on the whole, works hard to take care of the customer. Despite a bittersweet experience with our salesperson, Alex Ruvalcaba, everybody worked hard to ensure we were happy with our purchase, none more than Alexandra Benvenuto. I cannot give the dealership 5 stars, because our salesperson, Alex Ruvalcaba, was far too typical of a car salesman. Once the sell was complete, Alex was no longer interested in taking care of our concerns. We purchased a 5 year old truck that was a certified pre-owned vehicle. After getting the truck home, we discovered a variety of issues that needed to be addressed, some more significant than others, but all of which should have been caught and addressed as part of the nearly 200 point inspection that should have taken place. Mr. Ruvalcaba treated the purchase like we bought a piece of junk off some tote-the-note lot rather than taking care of us, going on to complain that we were "mad at him" for things that weren't his fault. I had to explain to him, as if to a child, that I wasn't mad at him, but that he was my single point of contact and should be handling things differently. Fortunately, Alex Benvenuto picked up the ball and addressed all the issues and concerns we had without question. She sent a driver across D/FW to pick up the truck while I was at work, got all the issues addressed, and had the truck back to me by the end of the day. Thank you, Mrs. Benvenuto! Later, I found a couple of other issues; nothing major, but the kind of things that should have been fixed in advance. I contacted Dennis White, Mr. Ruvalcaba's sales manager, who had been pulled into this earlier in the process. Mr. White made arrangements to have the issues fixed, so I took the truck to have the items addressed. I give Mr. White 4/5 stars, because he never spoke to me while I was there, never apologized for the issues - never even personally acknowledged I was there. I assume this is part of the ridiculous hierarchy of car sales where people like him don't have to talk to customers - just one of the reasons I hate buying a vehicle. That said, he arranged for the issues to be resolved, and in the end, that is what I wanted. All in all, I am very pleased with the price of the truck we purchased. We looked everywhere, and in the midst of the chip shortage, Sam Pack had that hidden treasure for the right price. Ultimately, the service was good, but not excellent. There were standouts in customer care such as Mrs. Benvenuto as well as those that seem to not care at all, such as Mr. Ruvalcaba. I would definitely recommend purchasing from this dealership, and I would recommend the internet sales experience. However, I, personally, will not deal with Mr. Ruvalcaba again and suggest working with other professionals at the dealership if you want a better experience. On another note, I feel I should call out Mr. Trey Russell. In the midst of my frustrating interactions with our salesperson, I left a less than stellar review through another site. Mr. Russell left a message apologizing with instructions for how to reach out to him via email. I did so, and never heard from him. Mr. Russell, that message "looks" great when you leave it as a response, but does little when you never follow through. More
