I came in to get my car inspected, I’ve recieved roughly 20 calls regarding “get your car appraised we’re looking for Kia souls” so I decided why not, I was moved to a car salesman, who showed me 3 cars, an 20 calls regarding “get your car appraised we’re looking for Kia souls” so I decided why not, I was moved to a car salesman, who showed me 3 cars, and I test drove them although nothing I saw really impressed me. But we went back inside he said “choose 1” and then I said I had to go to work and I got up and he said wait here, so I did, I didn’t want to be rude, and then I was promised things I did not get, such as money back from my trade in, which I told him I wanted, he brushed over that part, then he promised me I could unlock my car with my phone, but couldn’t do that with the Kia niro LX. 30000 dollar car that can’t do that? What the xxxx? Anyways I had three people telling me “buy this car” “buy this car, here’s the price” I wanted to leave to go to work but I was already late at this point. I told them I didn’t like the color, but I liked that it was a hybrid. “Well here’s what we can offer you, I knocked out 7000 dollars off of the price for you” and I don’t know why I said yes, because I didn’t like the car, that’s my fault but they kind of knew I didn’t want the car, they could tell I was really nervous. We go through all the paperwork, and I didn’t have a smile on my face but I was already this far in, I should have walked away but I felt like I couldn’t. I ended up getting to work 2 hours late. And I hated the car, the color didn’t feel like me and I know it was stupid but I think the real reason why I hated it was because I felt like I didn’t choose it, it was just chosen for me. I had so many emotions going through my head that day I felt like I was having a mental crisis. At night, I called up the Kia connect and was on the phone for over 20 minutes for them to tell me that my car does not work for Kia connect, I was pissed, the guy was trying to calm me down, I told him “I know this is not your fault but I f***ing hate this car” and started looking online at other cars you guys had for sale. And since it was so late you weren’t open I left an email saying I hated the car can I come in and switch it out. I arrived when you guys were open the next day saying I hate this car, what can you do for me, I researched all the cars on your website, and chose the white Kia niro EX ( I would have liked some more color options but what can you do about that?) and throughout the whole time they said “I don’t think we can do this there is no grace period in North Carolina” but I knew that they could do something because they sold me the car. You guys do not want a bad review because it would mean someone would get fired which I don’t want to happen. Ultimately I exchanged the LX for the EX and I felt a lot better because I felt like I chose the car and didn’t feel pressured in the moment to buy a car. The 600 dollar monthly payments will be very tough, as that’s wayyy too much money for me, I grew up in a home the size of a trailer. But I signed the documents, and i’m no longer hating the car I bought. All in all, the salespeople were doing what they were told to do, it was me who hated the vehicle, signed the documents, stayed late and missed a few hours of work, and didn’t keep on asking questions. I can’t get mad at Kia or the salespeople for that. More

On arrival at the designated and agreed to time, our Salesperson picked up another customer, I don't see the point of having an appointment. No big deal, we were looked after by Gus, a very knowledgeab Salesperson picked up another customer, I don't see the point of having an appointment. No big deal, we were looked after by Gus, a very knowledgeable young man who treated us respectfully, and showed the vehicles we had asked to see. After the first hour, the experience was quite pleasant, UNTIL>>>>>! Instead of opting for the Kia Sorento, which we were there for originally, we decided to upgrade to the Telluride. We had discussed pricing and purchase, looked at the sticker price and and asked for incentives and options. This is where all Gus's good work went down the toilet. Prior to the visit I had asked for a trade in value for my 2014 Kia Sorento, and the "personalized" quote was between $6,200 - $7,200, the offer at time of sale..$4,000. We watched the appraiser, and all he did was start the engine, look on the inside and lift the trunk. My vehicle had a full history of all oil changes, and new tires, plus maintenance records which Gus proudly showed us. When, according to Gus's manager $4K was the best they could do, we walked out and asked for our keys back. The manager came out and agreed to a $2K increase. Now here's where I feel we got bushwhacked, The dealership made us believe that we had a win, when in real terms the so called ads on daily TV that, "we offer up to $2K above trade in value" yeah not so much, and the other incentives seemed to disappear; my fault for not taking more time. I did qualify for 0% interest on the vehicle which was the good news. BTW if you don't have a credit rating of 780+ you don't qualify. I have one more vehicle I need to trade in for a newer model, but its highly unlikely it will be through Coastal Kia of Wilmington NC. Nickel and diming on a $60K purchase..... what a shame! More

My wife and I had an amazing experience pick out a new vehicle. The website was easy to navigate and the staff were very knowledgeable about the different options available. Brandon did an outstanding jo vehicle. The website was easy to navigate and the staff were very knowledgeable about the different options available. Brandon did an outstanding job educating us on the different trim levels and all of the features that come with each. He could relate to our stage of life and importance on safety and children. We test drove 2 different vehicles and stayed in touch over the next few weeks determining what and when we would come back to purchase. Pat was also very fair with our trade in and made an outstanding final offer on our favorite vehicle on the lot! We will definitely be sharing our experience with friends and family. We love our Kia and will be proud to drive the brand for many years to come. More
