She had also recently bought a car with John as her salesman. I was pretty nervous about the whole thing and as single mom of 3 on a very very tight budget and not so great of a credit score I was terrified. I needed something big enough for my family that I could also afford and John made me feel very comfortable and not like he was just trying to sell me something and get me out the door like most places. He made it so smooth and answered every question I had and didn't make me feel pressured at all. I got the car I wanted a 2013 Chevy Traverse. John is definitely the guy you want on your side when making such a huge commitment like buying a car. Would recommend, actually I do recommend John Montgomery at Advantage Chevy in Bolingbrook!!!! Backpedaled on price. Initial meeting on 07/16/2016 to test drive 2016 Silverado. Was quoted pricing with the intention of my trade and receiving current KBB dealer trade Initial meeting on 07/16/2016 to test drive 2016 Silverado. Was quoted pricing with the intention of my trade and receiving current KBB dealer trade value. Further communication throughout the week via text, to eventually come in on 07/22/2016 and close the deal with some minor exceptions. Dealership backpedaled on price for the vehicle by 3000.00 stating the the brand of my trade in was not a GM. Dealership new full well initially my trade was a Honda. In my opinion, that is deception. Not only was that an interesting and deceptive experience, but I have no value for switching to the Chevy brand either. This was a 50,000 deal gone bad in 5 minutes. Even though I didn't serve our country I think his support in them speaks for itself in the type of character this dealership employs. An Honest and No Shake-Down Environment My husband and I recently had a wonderful experience here. Starting from my initial phone call and speaking with Tom, I already got the vibe that this My husband and I recently had a wonderful experience here. Starting from my initial phone call and speaking with Tom, I already got the vibe that this wasn't the kind of sleazy car dealership we've probably all experienced before. I explained to him what we were looking for, how we had a tight budget, and how we'd like to look at some cars and talk numbers without feeling forced to buy anything right then and there-- he was totally understanding of this. When we got there, he connected us with John, the sales rep, and he was very nice, without being overly pushy or trying to "sell us" the whole time. We test drove two cars, and John answered our questions regarding the vehicles and the financing options. After getting the initial numbers, I explained to him I'd feel more comfortable with a slightly different monthly payment, and he and his wonderful manager Mark were able to make it happen. There were a few "surprises" that came up while doing the final overviews of the cars, and seeing as we were buying slightly used, we weren't expecting perfect, but after stressing a little bit over some of these imperfections, John, with approval from his manager Mark, were able to find us a comparable vehicle that made us happy, for a comparable price. After being there for quite some time, we finally purchased a vehicle, and despite the hiccups here and there, I would full-heartedly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car, without feeling like they are getting the shake down.
