I actually got a great deal on a very nice used vehicle from Advantage Chevrolet, so why the "meh" review that follows? 1. The great deal that I got was pretty much a function of me being in the righ from Advantage Chevrolet, so why the "meh" review that follows? 1. The great deal that I got was pretty much a function of me being in the right place at the right time. The vehicle had been sitting on the lot for nearly two months and I was able to take advantage of a few price drops. Although I was able to get an additional few extra hundred dollars taken off the advertised price, it was like pulling teeth. It basically came down to the salesman hustling to get the deal done after his sales manager did not even make a counter to my offer to purchase the vehicle at nearly 98.5% of the advertised price. 2. Although the salesman did a good job of answering my questions and giving me time to think about how I wanted to proceed (and, as I stated above, got personally invested to make sure that the deal didn't fall apart over a few hundred bucks), I did feel like I spent a LOT of time just sitting alone at his desk waiting for answers from the GSM and/or wondering why this relatively straight-forward deal (no trade, no financing) was taking so long to get done. I will say that the Finance Manager, Tom Kernagis, who handled my documentation and tax forms, had me in and out of his office in less than 5 minutes, which I appreciated greatly. 3. The initial purchase agreement that salesman presented to me included a number of charges for services (paint and dent protection, extended warranty) that had not been discussed previously and which I did not want. After getting stonewalled by the GSM over the issue of taking a few hundred dollars off the advertised price, I was a little taken aback at how cavalierly the dealership added nearly $4,000 in charges and fees on to the purchase price that I had struggled to negotiate. I understand that it has become commonplace for dealerships to put these charges (as well as questionable "dealer prep" fees) into the purchase agreement in the hopes that the customer will just go along and not object, but, personally, I would have been much more inclined to consider purchasing some of these items (particularly the extended warranty), if they had discussed this with me BEFORE simply adding it to the purchase agreement without even asking me and if they had offered me their BEST price UP FRONT (not after I declined). They basically lost my trust with their approach. To his credit, however, the salesman quickly prepared a new purchase agreement removing these charges and fees when I explained that I needed to keep my out-the-door price below a certain number and we were able to get back on track and proceed from there. 4. Follow-up customer service has been lacking. There have been no calls or emails to to me to see how I am enjoying the vehicle or even to thank me for my business. There has been no communication to help with me with activating OnStar, Sirius, or other features. In sum, my experience at Advantage Chevrolet was pretty much the same as most other dealerships that I've been to. There was nothing "above and beyond" to set Advantage apart from other dealerships and, in my opinion, the customer service (although friendly) is actually somewhat below average. The GMC dealership where I have been buying my accessories from treats me like more of a valued customer than Advantage does. Accordingly, taking all factors into account, I think that a rating of "Average" is appropriate. In terms of would I recommend Advantage Chevrolet to others, there was really nothing that they did over and above the call of duty that would warrant a recommendation. More

Service department was amazing very great customer service. I bought my vehicle in October of 2020 n I’ve only had a WiFi problem which was a simple turn on data for sharing switch. And I only needed service. I bought my vehicle in October of 2020 n I’ve only had a WiFi problem which was a simple turn on data for sharing switch. And I only needed an oil change! Perfect!!! I waited 3 hours for an oil change and inspection. I had an appointment and arrived on time. The car was in the bay for about an hour before anybody looked at it. Granted I got the car washed but that too an appointment and arrived on time. The car was in the bay for about an hour before anybody looked at it. Granted I got the car washed but that took only about 20 minutes. I did the cabin and air filter replacement myself. Cost me $30 and 15 minutes of my time to replace them. As for the tires the BF Goodrich G-Force A/S tires have a 45,000 mile warranty. The tires only have about 15,000 miles on them. I don’t do burn outs and the tires where nowhere near the tread wear markers. The service receipt said the tires couldn’t be rotated because they were rotational. Prior service receipts said they had been rotated. The car has staggered tires which can be rotated from right front to left front and right rear to left rear. I can just imagine how much longer I would have waited if all the recommended service was performed let alone how much of a hit my credit card would have taken. More
