I went to purchase a GMC Terrain from Advantage Chevrolet on July 10th. It was my second vehicle purchase so I was a little apprehensive. The sales person, DJ, was very professional, courteous, open and honest. I didn't have the best credit but he and Dennis worked with me. I didn't think I would be able to purchase a vehicle at all. Through their hardworking and patience, I was able to get the vehicle of my dreams. I would definitely recommend anyone to go Advantage Chevrolet for their next vehicle. Don't forget to ask for DJ! i had really disappointed experiences for my visit to this dealer. First, a sales manager stop by and he seems dont know what he is doing. He told me total different thing from what the internet sale manager told me.(....please dont send someone have no idea what is happening) The worst thing is, those people behind desk, they seems dont care about customer, a smile will cost them money or they just dont like to smile to people who drive to there to buy a car? And when i showed them other dealer price, they told me they will be able to beat the price and since i found a lower price, there will be $500 extra applied to the new price, and they fail to do so. They offer me what other people offered the promised $500 just disappear. Then at the end, they just done care any more, a guy seat behind the center table just told me "No, since you found the low price, then you should go where you found the price and buy the car there" and turned his head around. People, they lack the basic manor to treat people, a good bye handshake and smile is basic. The sale person at least have this. Advantage, train your employee at least know how to treat customer. The only advantage they had is the sale person i worked with, maybe he is trying to make sale and played some game to me, at least he try his best and he smile. In a word, i am very disappointed with my visit. And i will NOT suggest any one to waste their time on this dealer. GO somewhere else. More
Advantage Cheverolet was great at helping me find my new Chevy Equinox. Ruben was funny and good at getting us an appropriate price for our vehicle. The process lacked a little bit however as we were transferred to 4 different employees asking the same questions where we finally were transferred to our financial person to sign the paperwork. I felt this very discouraging and made my patients grow thin as it already was a long enough day. I would only suggest that the process be a little more streamlined and maybe if it has to do with the financial process taking a while, then the salesmen should have something for the buyers to do such as look at other vehicle options or a tour of the dealership. Otherwise, the whole process was enjoyable but long, and all of our questions were answered. I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in a Chevy. More

I was greeted with a smile and asked what I could be helped with right away. Because I had already picked out a car on the internet this was very welcomed for me. Brian Lonie took me to his desk right away and took down some quick information from me and verified the car I was coming to see was still there. With in 15 minutes we were test driving the car that i had come to see. Brian had complete knowledge of the vehicle that i was purchasing and explained all the options very thoroughly. Once i agreed to purchase the vehicle and was waiting on the finance department to complete the sale, Mr Lonie engaged me in conversation which showed personal interest which i appreciated. During our wait he also took me on a tour of the facility and gave me a history of the store and also the owner, which i found very interresting. Overall a very good buying experience for me. More
This letter is to file a formal complaint against Advantage Chevrolet located in Hodgkins, Illinois. On June 12, 2013 I went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle. My salesman Cyril Oghomeh was f Advantage Chevrolet located in Hodgkins, Illinois. On June 12, 2013 I went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle. My salesman Cyril Oghomeh was friendly and approachable. I looked at a 2008 Ford Escape and left a $100 deposit to hold the vehicle. The deal was contingent upon me bringing $1900.00 dollars down payment to the dealership on Friday, June 14, 2013. On June 14th, I went into the dealership and informed the salesman that I no longer wanted to go through the proceedings of purchasing a vehicle. I then spoke with Robert Alanis, the Used Car Sales Manager and was told by him that there was nothing that they could do because the car belonged to me because I signed a contract. I was told by the dealership in order to hold the vehicle I needed to sign papers. I never received all copies of what I signed. The only thing I did receive was a yellow copy that I requested for my insurance company. The behavior that Mr. Alanis displayed was a gangster/gestapo technique. I was told by Mr. Alanis that the vehicle belonged to me because I test drove it. Between Wednesday, June 12th and Friday, June 14th I never took the vehicle home and never received keys of the vehicle I supposedly purchased. Mr. Alanis told me that my only option was to sell the car back to the bank and if I didn’t take the vehicle that he would have the vehicle towed to my place of residence. I left the dealership that evening and told him I would be contacting my lawyer. On Saturday, June 15th I went into the dealership to try and resolve this matter with the General Sales Manager Jason Roberts. I was told that he would be right with me. He never came over or even acknowledged me and was sitting at the front desk where the managers sit. I am sure of it because his photograph is on the Advantage website. I left a letter of rescind at the desk for any all contracts for the vehicle. The level of unprofessionalism displayed at this dealership was shocking. I have been a loyal Chevy customer since 2006. The first vehicle I purchased was a Chevy Cobalt in 2006 from the Jack Phelan dealership located in Lyons, Illinois. I was able to take advantage of the first time car buyer $500 college graduate incentive. In February of 2010, I purchased a Chevy Malibu from Advantage Chevrolet in Hodgkins. My salesman was Tony Wyatt; he was fair and kept me informed during the entire process. The vehicle was exactly what I wanted. When I picked up my vehicle Joselyn Keys took over rest of the necessary paperwork for Mr. Wyatt. She was great and very helpful. I am a Senior Operations Manager for a non-profit organization. I merge corporate and school relationships and deal with business people on a daily basis. The Chevy Motto prides itself on customer first service and that wasn’t displayed to me. I was treated like a criminal and will never purchase a Chevy vehicle or refer anyone to this dealership. More
