We had a terrible experience at GMC Buick in Arlington Heights. My husband and I saw a used Tahoe online on the evening of 1/24. At 8:30 the next morning, my husband set up an appointment with salesman Ch Heights. My husband and I saw a used Tahoe online on the evening of 1/24. At 8:30 the next morning, my husband set up an appointment with salesman Chris Lahey, to purchase the car. We told him we would use our credit card to put the car on hold, but he said they don’t do that. Chris assured us that the car was being detailed and would be ready by 3, so my husband set up an appointment to get the car at that time. My husband took an Uber to my work, and I asked to leave an hour early to get to Arlington Heights by 3. Chris texted my husband just as he met me at work to tell us they had sold the car. We asked to speak to the sales manager who told me, “That’s the way this business is." He told me that people were writing a check for the car and that was more important than my appointment (we were also paying cash for the car). My husband spent $30 for Uber, and I lost an hour of pay because that's just how they “run their business” and treat potential customers. We decided to go to another dealer in the city. We found a car we loved, but the salesman said he couldn't sell it to us until he talked to another customer who had the car on hold. Apparently, not all car salesmen do business the way Chris and the sales manager run the Buick GMC in Arlington Heights. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was immediately greeted upon entering the facility, which appeared clean and modern. Worked with Dennis on my deal. There was no pressure during the negotiation. Tony was also nice and easy to work with during the financing stage, which I usually dread due to the time it normally takes. But they have electronic signatures, and that made it a lot faster.
