I called Audi Meadowlands on Sept. 20th to request a service appt for my 2021 Q8 because I got a message saying Electrical System Malfunction on Sept 19th. I was given an appt for Sep 20th to request a service appt for my 2021 Q8 because I got a message saying Electrical System Malfunction on Sept 19th. I was given an appt for Sept. 25th, saying that is the earliest that I can bring my car in for repair. We had been without a car for 3 days and absolutely needed it on Sept. 22nd and took it out, thinking that the message must be a minor issue. 15 minutes into our journey, all the lights on the dash began flashing and the car began slowing down to a stop on the highway. Luckily we were close to a downhill exit. We took it and parked it at the first spot immediately at the bottom of the exit. I had the car towed to Audi Meadowlands on Sept. 24th and made the service dept staff aware that the car was being towed there and that I already have an appt. for service for the next day (9/25). I waited to hear back from the service dept on the 25th and 26th. I left a message for the status of the service on the 27th. I called again on the 28th two times. On my second call, I was told that the service technician would take a look at my car later that afternoon and call me with the diagnosis. Why was my car which had a service appt on the 25th and had been at the service dept since the 24th, not even looked at till the 28th? I didn't get a diagnosis on the 28th or the 29th. I called both days. I called again on Oct. 2nd and was told that the problem was the starter and it had to be ordered. I told Courtney that I have heard that many owners are reporting the same issue and that the problem was the alternator. She said it was the starter. I asked when I would get the car. She said that it will take 5-8 days to get the part and then they would install it. I asked her to call me back and let me know when the part is coming exactly, when it will be repaired and exactly when I will get the car back. I also asked for a loaner because i needed a car. I was told the earliest that I could get one was October 5th. How unacceptable! It wasn't a surprise that I never got a call. I picked up a loaner on 10/5. I called again on Oct. 11th and was told that I can come and pick up the car the next day at 9am. The entire experience was utterly unprofessional! If I didn't call at the end of day on 10/11, I am fairly certain that I would not have known to pick up my car on the 12th (3 weeks after it had been there). My husband went to get the car on the 12th because I was traveling. The problem was indeed the alternator, not the starter as Courtney said. I am sorry to say that I would never recommend Audi Meadowlands for service to anyone. More
Marilyn Tedesco was absolutely amazing throughout my entire process. She followed up with me just the right amount of times I needed without being pushy or a burden. Very bad experience. Vincent send me video of wrong vehicle and I had no information about the work being done on my vehicle. Made multiple calls to the service center to get status update. I was informed vehicle would be ready by Tuesday. Cleaning of the vehicle was under par. Vincent mentioned in the intake form of a detailing work that was NEVER done. Overall very unimpressive. More
