I came into the dealership to Enquire about my 2005 Tundra, I had a quote from Auto-trader, and he advised, If they could get me a better price for my truck, would I purchase a vehicle from him. I said yes. Kimie is very knowledgeable, about the Toyota product, very easy to work with, not forceful or desperate to sell a vehicle. He is an asset to the dealership, and I look forward in the future, to purchase another vehicle from him. More
Fantastic, Friendly, and Memorable Visit I'll start of by saying that my experiences with Avondale Toyota's staff are always pleasant and memorable! I'm a chatter box and spark conversations with everyone there. Today I went in to have my old car looked at for basic service and I never imaged I would be driving away with a new car and it just happened to be the day before my birthday to top it off! While waiting for my car to come out, I met Maribel "La Chilena" and decided to kill some time with friendly conversation and test drive for the new 2015 Toyota Camry. Its an awesome car! I'm a sporty guy and I mentioned to her I had a 2012 Scion tC and after a brief conversation about what I liked in a car and how I wanted a car to express my style, I ended up deciding to trade in my older gently used 2012 Scion tC for a new 2015 Scion tC as a gift to myself for my Birthday! Thanks for being so awesome and so patient with my hundreds of questions! It's everything I was looking for! You're awesome! If you're looking into getting a new ride, ask for Maribel! You won't regret it! More
I was treated horribly Sure the sales people are great but lets talk maintenance; this is somewhat lengthy but ask you to please read.... My husband and I bought a brand Sure the sales people are great but lets talk maintenance; this is somewhat lengthy but ask you to please read.... My husband and I bought a brand new 2011 Toyota 4runner &a 2010 Toyota Tundra off of the Avondale Toyota dealership. The sales people were awesome. Then at 37,000 miles white smoke began to pour out of my exhaust so we took it in. There were no dash lights or anything on. So we give the keys to Toyota & we get a phone call back a couple of days later saying that the engine is full of sludge from the oil and that they're going to desludge it for $672.00. So my husband and I give the go ahead since we just moved back here from Utah (we are in the military and we were previously stationed at Luke) so we didn't have access to our receipts for our oil changes since TMO has everything, but regardless we need the car. We then get a phone call one week after we took it in.... it was an update on the "desludge" and we were told that the desludge was COMPLETED and that they wanted to run the car for about 15 miles to make sure it took. We then get a phone call back saying that the desludge DIDN"T work and that the engine was so destroyed we either had to replace the entire engine or the block assembly(quoted at $10,000) but they said they would drop the desludge fee to help us out (thanks guys, really). They said that it was not covered under warranty because they "could tell" we had never changed the oil since we had purchased the vehicle. So I lost my mind because I wasn't going to pay $10K for a new engine on a car that only had 37K miles. I called up an auto shop called Surprise Auto Repair (I will leave their information below) for a second opinion. I went to go pick up my car from Toyota and the Service Manager, CJ, wanted to talk to me.... sure so I let him talk. After about 10 minutes of him dancing around the topic he eventually told me that they never performed a desludge and that all they did was change the oil and from that they could tell I needed a new motor, and then he repeats, "so we'll drop the desludge fee"... gee thanks... So at this point I was sure I was going to have a heart attack at the service center and die from anger. So apparently when Jason, the mechanic, called me and said he had COMPLETED the desludge and was running it for 15 miles to make sure it took was lying to me, or was misinformed... either way right?... and apparently my 4Runner just sat at the dealership for a week to get an oil change... When I asked him about the engine replacement cost being a ridiculous 10K he explained to me that engines are very complicated and it takes a lot of time.... clearly he thought I was a "stereotypical female" (I hate to use that term) and knew nothing about those fancy things called engines. I explained to him that I KNEW you could by a used engine for the same mileage FROM Toyota for $2,500-3,000 and he agreed that's how much they were going to pay and explained that the other $7K I would pay would be in fees, labor and shop supplies because you know mechanics need towels leafed in gold to wipe their hands... So I said absolutely not and proceeded to take my 4Runner to Surprise Auto Repair. AN HOUR LATER they called me to let me know that they were going to run some sea foam through it a couple of times while changing my oil every single time & it'll be fine. Oh the ticket price you ask? $250.00.... I have never, in my entire life, been so disrespected and talked down to in such a manner that when I ask for details all I am told is that it's complicated, takes time and that there are "lots of parts". My husband and I have been loyal customers and have never missed a payment in 5 years; we did not expect this treatment. The Surprise Repair shop said I was the third person to be recommended a motor replacement when it wasn't needed from them. They even gave me the second look for free. .These people are honest and they care If you have any questions for me my email is michelle.linski@gmail.com please don't hesitate to ask Surprise Auto Repair 13260 W Foxfire Dr Surprise, AZ (623) 544-2886 More

Dave Covey genuinely showed compassion and provided us with the tools needed to get our ducks in a row. Dave truly had exceptional customer service qualities that I have read in text books in my undergrad years in college, all the qualities needed that contribute to Toyota's overall success. More

Several weeks ago I purchased a used car from the Avondale Toyota Scion dealership. I thought at the time I would have a warranty through another insurance company so I did not purchase a warranty a Avondale Toyota Scion dealership. I thought at the time I would have a warranty through another insurance company so I did not purchase a warranty at point of sale. Unfortunately, I found out I was not eligible for the extended warranty and missed the opportunity of purchase with the Toyota dealership. Since the automobile was in such good condition and rated high with the dealership I was not concerned at the time that I was now without a warranty and the next day I took the car I loved home . It was what I wanted and at a price I could afford. Two weeks after the purchase my air conditioning went out. I took it to a trusted mechanic who told me it was the compressor and it would be an expensive repair. When checked, air-conditioning either works or it doesn't. There was no indication, no noise that would alert me failure was coming. But, all of sudden a terrible burning smell and then hot air. I was brokenhearted, especially since my last vehicle was without air, this was an essential feature for me. I had to get it fixed. I did not purchase this incredible car to transport grandchildren and be without air. My experience with the purchase of this car was a joyous one, but I did not call with any expectations only hope. I contacted the Avondale Toyota Scion dealership and spoke with Mr. Andy Walker, head of the used car department. I explained to him what happened and asked if possible would the dealership work with me. He was courteous and told me what he thought was possible. Explaining the importance of warranties, he then stated that the dealership wants to help and keep their customers happy. He said someone would call me the next day. Someone did. Mr. Chris Hughes, a General Sales Manager called me the very next day. I explained again the whole experience, asking if possible, would they work with me. He was friendly, courteous and helpful. He said he would call and get some prices and get back with me. The next day I received a message from a Mr. Michael Prelozni with a quote for repair. I wanted to cry. I did cry. It was unbelievable, and very gracious of the dealership. He gave me a time to bring it in and told me it would take about 5 hours to fix. He offered me transportation home, but I have family on that side of town and stayed with them the day of repairs. What could have been a horrendous experience , was a blessed one, from the very time of purchase to the end of the repair. I have been shown much and blessed much and I am still learning through out this whole experience. I brought the car in and Mr. Michael Prelozni in the used car service department helped me from beginning to end. He was courteous, friendly and when asked, gave me helpful advice in search for an extended warranty through different agencies. He gave me his card and invited me to call the cell phone at any time with questions for help. . I am more than happy with Avondale Toyota Scion, I am very grateful. I feel they went above and beyond to help me. It was a family member who directed to Avondale, and I would encourage anyone to drive the extra distance as I did to make such a purchase. When you are spending what you believe is a great deal of money to you personally, customer service makes it a deciding factor. This dealership from the very beginning to the very end kept their customer service friendly, courteous, helpful and I cannot stress enough the integrity I found there. These are good businessmen and I value the experience. As I have been blessed may God bless each of them. More

After my vehicle was driven into the servi Service representative Tyler Young was courteous and helpful, however that's where the good feeling ended. After my vehicle was driven into the service garage I waited in the waiting area, then after a period of time decided to walk to the service garage to view the work being done on my year old vehicle. Two young mechanics were checking over my vehicle and after a moment one of them removed the front floor mats and literally threw the mats into the back of my vehicle, not setting the mats down nicely but throwing the floor mats. His careless action left marks on moldings and dirt from the mats on the rear seats. The service rep explained that they are required to remove the floor mats and I explained that it can be done in a completely different manner, such as courteous and professional. After the maintenance was completed I made the mistake of taking a moment to look at some of the used vehicles on the dealers lot. Instead of having a professional and courteous sales associate the young man that sauntered over came with an attitude after I said no thank you I was just looking for now. This rude treatment a year after I had purchased the vehicle from this same dealer and when they had made a mistake on their paper work and demanded that either my wife or I immediately sign something they had made the mistake on. We were out of town for a period of time and could not sign the paperwork during that time, but that did not stop them from getting to the point of harassing phone calls. I do NOT recommend this dealer to anyone and I will NOT be giving them any repeat business! More
