I am sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. You came in with impact damage to the front suspension, and our quote for the repair was per BMW's criteria for damaged suspension components. Hi Trevor, I will be in touch. But I must say, the thing I found most concerning with all of this is the use of the phrase “BMW’s criteria” This is the first time I have ever heard of a dealership service department replacing components unnecessarily based on a purported manufacturer’s recommendation. For example, I am curious to know why replacing a wheel and tire would be recommended as part of fixing a failed strut tower. There was simply no damage to the wheel or tire. It did not even so much as require a tire re-balance before leaving the shop. Likewise, why would the steering rack need replacing when a physical inspection of this component deemed it completely undamaged? Correct me if I am wrong, but every case that comes into the shop is unique and should be handled as such. The fact that the initial estimate was thousands of dollars more than what ended up being is a big problem and a major red flag. You are experts and as such I trusted your expertise. I expected more from a BMW Dealership.
