Let me start with the positives: the dealership facility was clean and presentable. The paperwork process was smooth and efficient, thanks in large part to me handling most of it online ahead of time. That was clean and presentable. Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly after that. I purchased a BMW 740i in December 2024, and from that point forward, I’ve dealt with a string of frustrating and costly issues. Just a few days after taking ownership, the driver-side seat trim fell off. To be fair, the dealership did send a check to cover that, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. The biggest and most ongoing issue has been with the air conditioning system, which has failed numerous times. It felt like the dealership only did the bare minimum to get it functioning temporarily. Ultimately, I brought the car to BMW of Freeport, where I’ve now spent $4,700 trying to get the A/C properly fixed — and it’s still not working right. It continues to blow warm air, and now I’m being told I’ll need to spend another $1,800 in hopes of resolving it. No guarantees, no accountability. BMW of Freeport has pointed fingers at BMW of Fort Washington, saying the problem stems from how the car was sold and what was (or wasn’t) disclosed. Meanwhile, I’m left in the middle — out nearly $5,000, with an unreliable A/C system, and zero resolution from either dealership. This was my first BMW purchase, and I went in expecting a premium experience to match a premium brand. Instead, it’s been nothing short of a nightmare — poor communication, lack of accountability, and a growing repair bill for issues that should have been handled from day one. I don’t want compensation. I don’t want excuses. I just want the car fixed. This has been incredibly disappointing. More
