This was my first visit to this dealer after moving to Florida. The vehicle’s electronics were not indicating a problem, but I could hear a noise coming from the engine compartment when driving at highwa Florida. The vehicle’s electronics were not indicating a problem, but I could hear a noise coming from the engine compartment when driving at highway speed and adding gas to maintain that speed or accelerate slightly. Lucy Aguilar (the service rep assigned to me) arranged for a loaner vehicle while my vehicle was being checked. She also arranged for two test drives with Juan Goil (the service technician assigned to my vehicle). Lacking information from the vehicle’s check-engine system, Juan checked some of the typical causes of the noise I was hearing (he also sent me a video showing me what he checked). None of them were the problem with my vehicle. On the 2nd test drive with me, Juan was able to hear the noise coming from the engine. But it was not loud enough for him to pinpoint the problem. He noted that without information from the vehicle’s check-engine system, it would be difficult to determine the problem at this point, not until it got worse and/or the vehicle’s check engine light came on. He also told me he didn’t think the vehicle would break down on me. I am not a mechanic, so I’m assuming: that everything that could be checked was checked; that there was nothing else that could be done at this time; and, that I did not have to worry about the problem at this time. Given that the problem could not yet be identified, Lucy did not charge me for the time spent to date by the dealer trying to help me identify the problem with my vehicle. I appreciate this dealer’s help to date. My wife and I have two BMW’s and will go back to this dealer again for service in the future. More
