Frustrating lack of clarity with final cost. Given an amount over the phone that changed upon pickup. What happened to text confirmation of repair costs? There is a reason I keep purchasing cars from BASNEY Honda This dealership is my GO TO for cars. They are professional in every transaction. This time I had the pleasure of working with Bob Briney. I was in This dealership is my GO TO for cars. They are professional in every transaction. This time I had the pleasure of working with Bob Briney. I was in a car accident and he handled everything for me over the phone. When I went into the dealership everything was waiting for signatures. Bob understood I was injured and made everything easy breezy! He also did a thorough walk-thru on the car and explained and demonstrated all the features. Ken handled the financing and was a pleasure to work he. He is professional, out-going and knows how to do his job. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a car, head to BASNEY and see Bob Briney and Ken in financing. More
The salesman (Bob) was very helpful with no pressure and very kind. However warranty options for used car by Finance Manager really didn't disclose how much total would be added to loan. Not huge into writing reviews, but felt this needed to be written so that others don't have this same experience. Went to Basney Honda last week with my wife to look at some SUVs and was not impressed at written so that others don't have this same experience. Went to Basney Honda last week with my wife to look at some SUVs and was not impressed at all by this dealership. Our salesman Rodger seemed a little cold from the start, but I figured he was just trying to put us on edge as a sales technique so didn't think much of it. We were first sat down in the building to talk about prices and budget. Since we are at the beginning of our shopping experience our budget was pretty loose and we didn't have many firm answers. Rodger kept persisting that we had to have a specific price and even though we had a rough idea on the year and milage range he wouldn't move on until we told him the maximum amount we wanted to spend. Finally we went out to the lot to test drive three cars. I asked some simple questions about gas milage and features of one of their used Toyotas compared to the Hondas and our salesman Rodger didn't really have any answers (I can partially understand this because Toyotas aren't the main car sold here). With each question I asked it seemed just a little bit more tense and that I was dumb for asking questions. We test drove two of the three cars and got ready to test drive the third but apparently Rodger had put the third set of keys away in an attempt to get us to leave. We asked if we could see the third car which our salesman obliged to. As we were looking at the final car I asked a question on what were some of the differences between the generations of CR-Vs to which I got a very condescending reply that it was impossible for him to know all these differences and basically that I needed to stop asking those kinds of questions. Finally as we were about to test drive the third car someone else came in asking for Rodger and he told them that he'd be right over because he was done with us and gave us his business card. We didn't realize we were done until this point. I'll be honest, we probably weren't planning on buying a car that day since we were just starting our search. It seems like they picked that up from the beginning and really didn't care to help us out because they weren't making money off us instantly. We are a younger married couple in our early twenties so maybe ageism had a role in it and they didn't think a young couple would actually want a car from a dealership. We didn't feel taken seriously. Either way, we were definitely interested in this place from the start which is why we started our search here. They have a lot of cars we're interested in and we wanted to potentially do business with them after checking what some of the other options are. I don't know what the reasons are but I will not be back at Basney Honda. I'm not really too petty of a person, but here's the thing: there are hundreds of car dealerships out there. We've been to Jordan Ford, R&B Car Company, Omari Auto Sales, and Drivetime used cars. Each one of these were phenomenal and I genuinely felt like they cared. I understand overall all these places are just trying to sell cars and make money, which is fine, but caring for the people that give you the money is important too. I did not feel any bit of it at Basney Honda. Maybe it was just Rodger, but there's no sense in me returning to find out. Hope other people have better luck here. More
