Service Department has integrity issues I purchased the tire and wheel coverage package along with my daughter's car. When she hit a pothole and tried to use the extra coverage I purchased, I purchased the tire and wheel coverage package along with my daughter's car. When she hit a pothole and tried to use the extra coverage I purchased, Austin put the claim in as her hitting a curb and the claim was denied. I spoke with Austin, and he told me my daughter told him she hit a curb which was a lie. She repeatedly corrected him during their conversation that she had hit a pothole. He also stated the same lie to the service manager. Upon me calling the service manager myself, he reiterated the story Austin told him. After going back and forth for over a week, the service manager finally gave me the contact info for the wheel and tire coverage company, and I spoke with them directly. They informed me Austin had submitted the claim as curb damage, looked at the photos and stated "this is obviously not curb damage" and approved the claim. When I spoke with the service manager, he apologized and said he would speak with Austin, and Basney did finally get the wheel and tire replaced. This entire situation is nothing short of ridiculous, and what a hassle to use the extra coverage Basney was so willing to sell. It makes me wonder if this situation would have been handled the same way if I as a male had went in, instead of sending my daughter to deal with Austin. More

I took my vehicle to Basney for a Takata airbag recall. I was told that the tires also needed to be rotated. Knowing I had just installed new tires recently, I declined. When I took my vehicle home, I m I was told that the tires also needed to be rotated. Knowing I had just installed new tires recently, I declined. When I took my vehicle home, I measured the tires myself with a tread gauge. All 4 tires measured exactly the same tread depth. While Cassandra, the service order writer and the cashier were very courteous, I question the validity of the recommendation as it was for service work that wasnt needed. More
