The absolute worst Mercedes service department ever. No management. No customer service. And absolutely no oversight. No management. No customer service. And absolutely no oversight. More
I had a 7 a. m. appointment, I arrived at your driveway at 6:30 a.m. and waited for your facility to open. At about 6:55 a.m. a black sport model pulled alongside of me. The drive pointed to the chain across the gate and motioned me to move. I indicated that the service area was still not open. As I was speaking to the driver a staff member removed the chain right at 7 a.m. I pulled and technician greeted me professionally and confirmed my appointment. I was instructed to go inside and check in at the service desk, which I did. I was literally the first online. A moment or two later, the driver of the black sport coup entered and initially started to walk in from of me until he realized the desk was not staffed. He sighed and moved behind me. Next thing I hear him call out "Danial" to one of your service staff who just walked in. Danial dressed in a shirt and tie, immediately called him by name and waved him in a heard me bypassing the service desk. A minute later, you service person arrived and directed me to waiting area. Five minutes later service provider called me to his desk and started the process. I pointed out the rudeness of the other customer, I get it, but what I don't get is the unprofessionally and preferential treatment showed to the other customer. Now I realize that he was driving a much more expensive model, and it appears that service appointments are now given on a model basis, the more expensive model, you move to the front of the line, really. At the very least Danial should have explained why I was being subordinated and this rude gentleman was being moved to the front or at least offered me coffee. That said, since our relationship with Benzel, between my wife and I we have least or purchased five vehicles from Benzel Motors, mostly from Lou Gallo who by the way is one of the reasons we come back. All our vehicles have been serviced by Benzel, do I need to go on. However, make no mistake about it, you are certainly not the only game in town. The unprofessional, subjugated treatment displayed, whether initial or because of bias or simply because of poor customer skills should not happen. I I may be reach for further comment if you care to. More
Only reason I have this a 2 star and not a 1 star is because it was easy to make a appointment. Otherwise, poor communication between staff. Not reliable with time frame of work. Including drop off and because it was easy to make a appointment. Otherwise, poor communication between staff. Not reliable with time frame of work. Including drop off and delivery of my Vehicle and loaner. Service has dramatically drop in the last three years. You would expect better service from a luxury brand/dealer. Avoid servicing your vehicle here. More
I think it took too long to do a diagnostic of a sensor fault (3 days) and the communication was poor during this time, I just got a text message with an exorbitant fee repair.
