When a sleazy dealership got caught lying, cheating I am an investigative reporter. The "award" for the WORST car sales experience performed by the 21st century sleazy salesmen lying, cheating and steal I am an investigative reporter. The "award" for the WORST car sales experience performed by the 21st century sleazy salesmen lying, cheating and stealing could easily go to KRISTAL Auto Mall (5200 Kingsway Highway, Brooklyn, NY 11234. Tel: 718-253-7575; Website: www.kristalautomall.com). If Cadillac truly wants to win back its premier customers, this obscure Kristal Auto Mall should be shut down. Here's my agonizing story as a first time Cadillac buyer, and it was't pretty. After spending nearly $90,000 on a brand new Escalade SUV, the sales manager (Anthony Arcieri) guided me to a finance manager to "close" the deal. I was presented with a final invoice which included a mysterious $980 "bank fee." After inquiring about this bizarre "fee," the finance manager changed his story at least 4 times unable to keep a straight face about the name of the bank that would levy such an exorbitant amount. This turned out to be a bogus hidden charge - a trap for unwitting customers (Buyers be aware, this so-called "bank charge" is a gimmick.) After a protest, this fake charge was removed. But another trap was waiting: I was then told the dealership didn't have in stock a cross rail luggage roof rack and the dealer would call me in a few days to have it installed at no cost to me (my trade-in already had a luggage rack). Nearly 3 months have passed and after dozens of calls made to the dealer since the Sept 2017 purchase, neither the "warm" salesman GREG HAMPTON nor the sales manager ANTHONY ARCIERI would return my calls. Finally, after complaints were made to Cadillac's customer service hotline (866-790-5600), the Cadillac rep was told by sales manager ANTHONY ARCIERI the rail rack wouldn't be installed and it wouldn't be free either. I was shocked. It's like the aggravation from the lying salesmen wasn't enough, one vehicle tire went flat and the cruise control stopped working after two months. As expected, no one at Kristal Auto Mall was willing to help. Lying, cheating and stealing certainly appear to be how the folks at KRISTAL AUTO MALL do business. In the end, should anyone buy a vehicle from this dealership? The answer is simple: xxxx NO! For Cadillac as a company, KRISTAL AUTO MALL and its sly salesmen are a stinky dark mark on an otherwise promising brand. It was a shame on Cadillac and a shameless gimmick at KRISTAL AUTO MALL. Folks, stay away. More
