Since my first visit the attention was pretty good, I was in the rush and the sales person that was with me (Shae) quickly understood my needs and provided me all the info that I needed, including a great initial price for my new mustang and for my trade-in. Shae kept in touch with me all the time during the process to make sure I had all info that I needed to make my decision, including a better offer. At the same time I visited other dealers but I didn't receive the same attention than with Ford Bommarito. That definitely was a decisive factor to buy the car with them. Even after I bought the car, they have been in contact with me to see how I feel with my new car and if I need anything else, this is a good example of how customer service should be. I recommend anyone to first visit Ford Bommarito rather that going with somebody else. Thanks again Shae. More
Outstanding Service for 1st Time Buyer with No Credit This review is about my son purchasing his first vehicle. He was home for a period after completing his AIT training as a Combat Medic in the Army. This review is about my son purchasing his first vehicle. He was home for a period after completing his AIT training as a Combat Medic in the Army. We had already been to another Ford dealer (in O'Fallon, MO), much closer to our home, and where I had purchased a new Ford vehicle within the past year. That dealer assured my son that his zero credit history wouldn't be an issue and all he had to do was to pick out a car and they would work it all out. Essentially, they wanted my son to fall in love with a car, find out he wasn't eligible for a loan and make me and my wife feel guilty for not co-signing a loan. We told them from the start that we were NOT going to co-sign since we didn't know what would happen if he was going to be called overseas at any given moment. We left and we will not return to that dealership. I told my son to start looking at used vehicles and we saw a selection at Bommarito online and so we decided to take the trip to Bommarito Ford in Hazelwood, MO - which is a 37 mile trip (one way). We started looking at the used cars and Craig Sammelman came up and asked what we were looking for. I explained my son's situation and he was very upfront with the difficulty with financing someone with zero credit and no co-signer, but would certainly do what he could with the tools he had available. My son chose a car that he liked and Craig went to work. He involved Dan King in the process and Dan also explained how difficult it would be to finance someone with zero credit, but said that he would try every option available. After a time, Dan came out and apologized, but didn't have anything available to him to finance my son using the lenders he had available to him. At no point, did anyone from Bommarito guilt me into co-signing a loan to help my son with his purchase. Since my son is active duty with the military, he has some options available through Navy Federal Credit Union. I told Craig that we would investigate the options at home and return. Craig encouraged us to stay at the dealership and use both him and the finance team to help with the Credit Union's application process. That was an excellent idea because they required a lot of documentation that the dealership had. Craig worked with Dan King and gathered and faxed documents several times and did whatever necessary to help get my son the loan for the car he wanted. The long wait paid off. The approved loan amount was more than required for the car - a lightly used 2014 Ford Focus Hatchback. The Credit Union was going to mail a check and my son would be able to pick up the car on Wednesday of next week. Unfortunately, my son needed a vehicle since he was part of hometown recruiting and since the check came on Tuesday, he had to see if he could pick it up a day earlier than originally planned. We went to Bommarito Ford to see if there was any way to get the car a day earlier than planned to help my son out. Craig had planned on getting everything ready before we showed up on Wednesday like we originally scheduled. Unfortunately, Craig was off that day, but Steve Bachesta gladly took charge of the situation, found the keys, helped set-up the final paperwork with Chris Clark and ultimately get the car ready for my son. Steve took care of us like Craig did the day before - made us feel like the only customer that mattered to him. I cannot express how pleased I am with the patience and care of the individuals at Bommarito Ford. They bent over backwards for us from the moment we walked in and that did not go unnoticed. What an amazing group of people, including Stacy, at the front desk, who entertained us for a bit while Steve was chasing paperwork. I know who I will trust with my new and used car needs in the future. Thank you again for your service and for caring for our son.
