It was simple to purchase my 650i Gran Coupe but has issues Ok Kim Bailey was my sales agent, she is mad nice and very cool too. My issue with the dealership is the "No Hassle Price". What that does is takes away the customers ability to make a deal that they are more comfortable paying. It is true that the cars are less than Blue Book but bargaining is a big part of car buying. I was pleased that the car I wanted sat long enough while I was shopping all around New England to pick the right car for me. While I was on the search from May 22, 2019 til I purchased it on June 24, 2019 that the price surprisingly went down $1,000 two weeks later and another $1,000 two weeks after that. So if I sat down to make the purchase just a month earlier they would not have accepted the price of $2,000 less. So I got lucky that the price was reduced. Anyways, I drove from Norwich, CT by Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casino (79 miles) to purchase this gorgeous BMW 650i Gran Coupe and I am cool with my purchase for the most part. Kim is fiesty and fun so I know she would also be mad cool to hang out with. :) There are two issues I pointed out with the car that I wanted addressed before I purchased it but sadly nothing was done. #1 - The rear camera is under the BMW emblem and when you put the car in reverse it flips to reveal the camera, well it is supposed to flip back close when you put it in drive and this does not, it sticks and stays open. I wanted that fixed. I tried lubing it but it was unsuccessful. At this point I will likely end up spending a few hundred bucks to replace that myself. #2 - Issue is the idrive knob spins fine for a few loops but then it gets pretty tight for about half a button spin. It is obviously not supposed to get tight at all. I wanted that serviced and fixed but it was not. That again will likely cost me $750+ to get it done at a BMW dealership. At 79 miles away it will be such a pain to bring it back for them to look at it, try to lube them up then say, nope, need to replace the iDrive Knob and BMW emblem. Then they will have to order it for me and tell me to come back in a week or so, then I will have to take another 160 mile round trip AGAIN for them to correct the two issues that should have been done before I purchased the vehicle. I want to make this clear that this is not a reflection of Kim Bailey but rather the dealership as a whole! She is not in the service dept who should have discovered and address these issues with the pre-inspection prior to listing it. Kim had the car clean and fully gased up for me prior to arrival which was good. She even had it ready with a dealer plate for me to take it for the second test drive before making the final decision yesterday (06.24.19) If the Dealership wanted to make it right for me they would have two parts purchased and waiting to be installed with ONE visit. I mean, I dropped $34,000 cash/check on the car. If the dealership addresses and fixes my issue I will be glad to give an updated 5 star review, until then 2 stars because it will cost me hundreds of bucks and time to take care of this myself.
