Bought a car in December 2023 - its had repeated issues with the transmission, but they assured me it was just defective alternators. Now its April 2024 (coincidentally just past warranty) and they're tell with the transmission, but they assured me it was just defective alternators. Now its April 2024 (coincidentally just past warranty) and they're telling me its a faulty transmission, which is going to cost $6k. I recently purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue from Chapman in December of 2023. A few days later, the car started having issues changing gears and the check engine light came on, which I feared meant there was a transmission issue. I called the sales rep, who told me to talk to his manager. I called the manager about 3 dozen times and left voicemails, but he never answered his phone or returned any of my voicemails. I eventually got in touch with the maintenance department, who had the car towed to their shop. They assured me it was just a bad alternator, which they replaced. I had the same issues again shortly afterwards, and they again assured me it was a bad alternator, which they replaced again. I told them it seems suspicious that I've had this many "defective alternators" in a row, but the maintenance tech told me that this was pretty common. We haven't put many miles on the car as we have been anxious with these recurring issues. In April, 2024 (4 months later) the car started having issues switching gears, and the check engine light came on again. We brought the car in, and they told us that the car was past warranty and that the transmission needs to be replaced, which will cost $6,000. I can't speak to anyone at Chapman about this because those that actually do answer the phone tell me they can't do anything, and the ones that apparently can help me, don't answer their phones, which is why I'm posting on here. I will continue to post on every channel I find, sharing my experience with the public until Chapman does what is right. More

Zac in my Tech texted me a service video of the exactly what was being done along with explanations. When all was said and done a free Lyft ride to Chapman to pick up my hand washed and polished vehicle. The Lyft, Leo, driver arrived within four minutes in the vehicle, his pix, information about him and his vehicle. The cashier was kind and courteous with a warm friendly smile. Even the techs and advisors who weren't directly assisting me were kind and helpful. A great place to go to maintain your vehicle. More
I thank Nissan Service Department for the quality work on my vehicle for six years. Nissan's cost for services rendered on vehicle repairs is at fair market value.
