Short version: Checkered Flag unplugged my dash cam, damaged my crankshaft position sensor, refuse to admit fault, pay for any damage, or even meet me in the middle when I offered to pay half. You cannot trust these people with your investment, do not come here for any reason. Long version: I've been a customer here for 13 year, bought my first car from them at 18 in 2012. I took my car in for an oil change. It had a rough start when I drove home. The next day it had 6 warning lights on, the engine was shaking like it was gonna fall out, and it was completely unsafe to drive. I had a Protech Automative Diagnostic ADAS technician come take a look at it and he immediately diagnosed damage to my crankshaft position sensor wiring harness. He told me it looked like a tool had slipped, or else the wires had been intentionally damaged. I assumed a simple accident had occured. I had my car towed to Checkered Flag expecting them to the right thing, instead they tried to blame a "rodent" and charge me 730 dollars. Keep in mind the part costs 130, and the repair takes around an hour. I showed pictures of the damage to a friend of mine who has been a Jiffy Lube manager for 15 years, his response was "absolutely zero chance a rodent caused that damage." I tried to reason with them, at this point they shut down and refused to give me any information over the phone. They started treating me in a way I've never been treated by any auto shop in my life. So I agreed to meet in person, where they brought out a professional gaslighter to try and convince me a rodent had somehow smashed through a plastic housing with a hammer and neatly severed 3 wires without touching a single other part of the car or taking any material with it. They refused to budge on their price of 730 to fix damage that definitively occurred on their property. I decided to tow my car home and fix it myself. That's when I noticed that they had unplugged my dash cam. How sketchy can you get? Oh yea, totally above board business but we unplug customers dash cams. Stay far away from this place if you value your money or your time, I won't be getting either of mine back. I'd also like to restate, I've been a customer of theirs for THIETEEN years, if they'll do me this dirty you better believe they'll do you worse. More
