Kellon Heath, at City VW of Evanston, worked patiently, ethically, professionally, and very kindly with us for several months, respecting my desire only to be in touch when a car that met our needs showed ethically, professionally, and very kindly with us for several months, respecting my desire only to be in touch when a car that met our needs showed up, and paying close attention to my very specific list of requirements for that car. As results, he put my young adult daughter into her first, new-to-her, previously owned car, at a “fair*” price. It’s a safe car, a clean car with little wear and tear and reasonable milage for its age, and a small *fun* car for a young woman; my daughter loves it. Moreover, Kellon went above and beyond to make sure that she could have a few after-market conveniences in the car that weren’t available when it was manufactured. We are so grateful that he helped to make the process stress-free and that he stuck with us with after each reply text that said, “Nope!” Kellon is a friendly, smart, no-pressure salesman with a can-do, but not cheesy, demeanor. I felt, instantly, that I could trust him. He made the process my daughter’s process, walking her through each step, without patronizing her, or condescending. We women shouldn’t have to be *grateful* when a male salesperson treats us with respect and professionalism; it should be the norm. But we *are* grateful and I will absolutely contact Kellon in the future should we be in the market for another new car. Note- I’ve put an asterisk to the word “fair” because we are all conceding that the cost of cars right now, and availability of both used and new cars is, in a word, bonkers. No, these prices aren’t fair, or reasonable, and some used cars are selling for MORE than their original MSRP (with 70k+ miles and ages 10+ years). If this purchase wasn’t 100% necessary we wouldn’t have purchased a car at this time. However, the staff at City VW, especially Kellon, helped to ease the way and we are, in the end, really happy. More

We came in for an oil change on a Tiguan and thought we’d take a look at possible upgrades as our lease was about to end.
