I shared the priority features I was interested in and they kept in touch with me regarding inventory. I drove home yesterday with my new Forester. We came in knowing exactly what we wanted to see (a 2019 Forester Premi We had a very positive experience at Cityside Subaru working with Mark Lidano. We came in knowing exactly what we wanted to see (a 2019 Forester Premium) and Mark was very helpful at getting us set up for a test drive and explaining some of the features of the new model. When it came time to negotiate the price, everything was very straightforward and just felt like a reasonable conversation about trying to reach a fair price.. Mark also offered us a more-than-fair value for our trade-in. We were preapproved for a car loan from our bank, and he checked to see if they could offer us a better rate; when they couldn’t, he didn’t put any pressure on us about using our own financing. Overall ,it was a straightforward and pleasant experience. Things were a little less straightforward in the finance office, where the man who helped us only revealed after we questioned several times that there was room to negotiate on an extended warranty. (Initially he said the prices were set by Subaru and non-negotiable.) But I suppose that’s the nature of a finance office, and even that was a civil conversation and we never felt like anyone was trying to pressure us into anything. I would highly recommend Cityside Subaru. More
