"On my way to being a loyal customer" Over the past 20 years I have owned or leased three Subarus. When nearing the end of our last lease in February, I was frustrated with a Boston area Subaru dealer who was not returning calls when I inquired about buy-out/new lease options. I then called Cityside. They listened to my questions and took the time to give me the information I needed to make a decision. The entire lease negotiation process, was a great experience. The sales staff, initially Darren and then Glen, were professional, courteous and knowledgeable about options available. We ended up leasing a customized model directly from the factory and we're regularly updated on delivery date and other details. When the time came to pick-up our new Outback, Michael, the Finance Manager guided us through the transaction efficiently and competently. Our sales rep, Glen was terrific with walking us through all the car's features and maintenance options. We never felt rushed and the entire transaction took less than one hour! Cityside did everything they said they would do. If what we experienced over the past two months is any indication on we can consistently expect, then Cityside will have another loyal customer. Great service experience!! I had a screw in one of my tires. I am a very loyal customer of Cityside Subaru, so I brought it in to have them check the tire. He said it just needed a plug, they were able to do it while I waited and charged a very reasonable price. I am always treated great at Cityside!! We had decided that whatever we did it had to be an all wheel drive, which narrowed our choices a little. After a lot of online research, we narrowed our options for test driving to the CR-V, a Jeep, and the Subaru. Pete Hartelius, the sales rep who worked with us, was terrific in asking us what our needs were and ultimately helping us to select a Forester as the best choice for us. We would say we now have a car with more technology than we knew existed, especially in the safety area, but we are very glad we opted to go for it. I agree with many published reviews of the car that it offers outstanding value. You get a lot for your money. Pete even helped us "pair" our cell phone before we left, as well as showing us how all the new gadgets worked. More
Helpful, knowledgable, personable, & genuinely on your side We stopped on to the lot last Saturday to check the window sticker of a Forester, not planning to stay for more than a few minutes, but when Pete and We stopped on to the lot last Saturday to check the window sticker of a Forester, not planning to stay for more than a few minutes, but when Pete and greeted us and began showing us around the car, his easy-going disposition and impressive knowledge converted us from (very) casual shoppers to committed buyers. I never once felt pressured, more like things were just falling into place. The dealership was willing to work with us so that we got the car that we needed for the price that we needed and respected our budget concerns and priorities throughout the process. Additionally, once we purchased the car, Pete stayed with me for over 2 hours, showing me all the in's and out's of the car and getting all of the systems programmed and working so that when I drove away, I didn't have to do anything else-- not even fill the tank with gas or set the radio stations. These guys really care about their customers, not just as customers, but as people, and it is apparent that they do everything they can to make the entire process-- not just the sale, but the actual ownership as well-- as congenial and stress-free as possible. In short, they are in it with you for the long-haul, and in a world of short-term turn-around and disposable everything, the difference is everything. More

Poor communication I brought my Forester in as three trouble lights went on and the car is less than a year old. I brought the car in and was told they would probably n I brought my Forester in as three trouble lights went on and the car is less than a year old. I brought the car in and was told they would probably need to replace a switch. When I spoke to service the service person said that the codes were reset and it was good to go. I explained I was going away with the car and was reassured it was fixed. I picked the car up and the next day the lights went on in the middle of a highway. Brought the car in when I returned and was told they had needed to replace the switch bug had none in stock. No one told me that. More
