A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, David Wilson has been involved in the automobile industry for nearly 40 years. He was vice president and general manager of Covey Lincoln Mercury in Phoenix, Arizona, for five years before coming to Toyota of Orange in 1982. Before buying out the owner of Toyota of Orange in 1985, he was the vice president and general manager. Mr. Wilson is now the owner and president of sixteen automobile dealerships - employing nearly 2000 people. I had some issues in the beginning because they insisted on running my credit even though I told them I was already pre approved. We went in circles on the day of purchase. Since I didn’t not allow them to on running my credit even though I told them I was already pre approved. We went in circles on the day of purchase. Since I didn’t not allow them to run my credit, they did not let me take the vehicle they day. I was told I had to wait for the check to clean which may take up to 10 business days. I called the following week and I was told by financing the check still had not cleared. This made no sense to me so I told Daniel in financing that I would like to take mr vehicle asap. He told me to have my bank contact them so they can’t verify the funds. I did so but while I was in the process, Daniel said someone from his team called the bank to verify the funds and I’d be able to pick up the car. The dealer should not give customers a hard time for being pre approved! More
