I absolutely love Coastal Kia, especially all those who keep my car running. I have a 2010 Kia Rio and between Bob Tomlin and Sam Weisman, I know my car will still have a few years left on it. They go above and beyond to let me know what is under warranty and what is not and there are never any surprises when my car is serviced. In this economy, especially in this economy, it is so important to have people you can trust taking care of your car! If you are a woman and know nothing about cars (or a man), it would be in your best interest to buy from Coastal Kia because they care about their customers and keeping them on the road. Of course they are in the business to make money, but not as the expense of their reputation or integrity. My next car, when the prices finally go down, will be with them because I couldn't trust anyone else. More
Very disappointing. I had trusted Coastal Kia in the past but my trust has been broken and I can no longer have my vehicle serviced there. They tried to get me to have services that weren’t needed. See details below. I brought my car in for an oil change and wiper blade replacement and air cabin filter, the Laster two recommended by the service department. The service adviser on June 1, 2022 came to tell me that I needed an alignment, the front wheel/tire was bowed in. I was getting new tires the following day so I said I would come back for the alignment after the new tires were installed. After the inspection, the device advisor brought me the report and told me that my battery wasn’t charging at all and that I needed a new battery. I was surprised since my battery was just over one year old and still under warranty. He also told me I needed a new serpentine belt. They were both marked in the red category stating immediate attention required. When I questioned further , the advisor tells me the battery replacement was being recommended due to the age of the car…????. Then he went back to service and came back to tell me the serpentine belt was ok. I was due to leave on a trip in a few days and was concerned about being stranded with a broken down car. I had my new tires installed but the place where I bought them does not perform alignments. I took my car for an alignment and asked them to also check on my battery and serpentine belt. To my surprise, my vehicle did not even need an alignment, nor did it need a battery or serpentine belt. The level of mistrust that I have now cannot be conveyed in words. I feel completely betrayed. In looking back on my service records, I’m not sure if any recommended services were warranted. UPDATE: Very pleased with response from the dealership. John Wigger reached out to me and listened to my experience and has offered to make everything right. I really appreciate how much John cares about the customer experience. More
