This was a second chance for this dealership because my wife believes everyone deserves a second chance. It was also her car getting traded in so she should have a say in what she will drive. However, even though her first encounter was already off to a shaky start when no one acknowledged her arrival and she had to go find someone to speak to, she thought her salesman was nice and helpful. However, no one told her that he was leaving in a day or 2 for a six week vacation. Then after waiting for 2 or 3 days she finally received a text asking if her husband would co-sign her lease. (They had been texting her old phone number). I told her to tell them sure and give them my number. She then waits another 2 days and they tell her their leasing company doesn’t want her in the lease, only myself. We don’t exactly understand this as she has never needed anyone to cosign because she has her own assets. But ok fine. Then we go back for delivery and the finance manager was not friendly or welcoming and not once did he crack a smile. We felt like we were an annoyance in his day and could not wait to walk us out. The new salesman was nice and informative but I had enough of the place and was ready to go. The owners manual and spare set of keys were not available so my wife had to return to the dealership to retrieve them. Again she arrived and entered and no one greeted her, nor was anyone concerned about her walking around looking for someone. She again went to the sales manager desk and told them why she was there and then stood around for over a half hour while they looked for her keys and such. Finally they told her they couldn’t find them and would call her when they had something for her. A total waste of time for her to go there when they could’ve called to let her know the keys were not available. Then as she was driving out they ran after her to let her know they found everything. Likely that is the last time she will be going there. They didn’t even offer up any incentive for her to return, such as a free oil change or inspection or even a simple apology. Working in the trucking business, I know how important customer service and satisfaction are and how much people appreciate it. For Cortese to treat their customers as they do, they must have an overwhelming amount of business to not care if they lose one customer or possibly more because I certainly couldn’t recommend them and I’m really sorry that my wife wanted to give them a second chance. We certainly didn’t have these problems at Marina and will likely go back even though they are a bit out of the way for us. The service is what matters. More
