Called the service center and scheduled an appointment for a Friday in August for a recall. (sure glad I called). Told me it was a web appointment that was then adjusted by a service rep. Nope, I did not fill out any online form, I only called. I drop the car off in the morning to pick it up after work. Got a call in the afternoon from the service manager assigned to my vehicle that there are bolts that need to be replaced but they are not in stock and won't be available until tomorrow. Since it was never stated as a two-day job, I did not make plans to not have a vehicle. Told the service rep I would leave the car overnight if I could, but that is not an option for me unless there is a loaner I can take for the night. No loaner was available, so I asked the service manager to try put the bolts back in. "Okay, we'll try but can't guarantee". Great... Get a text a couple of hours later that the car is ready for pickup. I pick it up and take a look at the receipt. There's a line item for 4 BAO bolts. So did the bolts magically appear on the shelf and I have the new ones in my car? Or was that forged by Cortese service manager to comply with warranty repair and I am going to have brake failure in the future? I would not ask because this is the second time I have had warranty/recall service done at Cortese and I caught the service manager lying to me about parts that needed to be replaced that were not actually replaced the first time. I do not trust he would be honest with me. More

Took my vehicle in after the check engine light came on. It turned out to be a bad oxygen sensor that needed to be replaced. On the way home after picking up the vehicle, I heard a loud scraping sound on the highway. It turned out that one of the lower covers had come loose and almost fallen off. Fortunately I was able to get a tow back to the dealership and I left the car overnight. The next morning they had removed the cover and I was able to pick up my vehicle. However, it took several weeks before a new cover was in stock and I was not kept well-informed on the status of the part order. When it did come in, I was able to schedule an appointment within a few days and they put on the new cover while I waited. More

Pretty expensive visit for oil change and tire rotation. You'd think being a loyal customer for many years buying and leasing from Cortese there's be cheaper service opportunities. About the worst experience I have ever had. Needed an A/C evaporator, and a backup camera. Brought it in and left it on Monday, Service indicated it would be ready on Wednesday. After not receiving a call I called Wednesday afternoon to verify everything was ready. Response was "we can't get the parts in and no timeframe on when they might come in. Do you want to leave the car?" I said No I need it. Ok was the response, but now we'll need $1400 in order to order the parts. Ok I agreed. After no call for a week, I called. Response was "Still no timeframe on getting parts." After no call for another week, I again called. "Still no timeframe on getting parts". After the 3rd week of no call, and no timeframe I said i'm cancelling my order, so can I get my deposit of $1400 back as you have no idea when the parts might come in. Response was "OK, but we'll have to charge you for the diagnostic appointment from 3 weeks ago". No call back, i did notice a credit on my credit card of $1033, so they charged me $367 for the diagnostic service from 3 weeks ago. Again no call back no explanation. More
We did not have a pleasurable experience here. When we arrived, no one was there to greet us, so we went into the office, waited 5 minutes, and finally went to the Cashier for help. Mind you; she saw that we walked in and appeared to ignore us. I asked her for help, and she stated that pull the car in and someone would help us. We did so, and the mechanic was very dismissive of us. We gave him the keys and told him the services we wanted (the 30k maintenance service that Ford suggested). He said, "Ok, got it," we also mentioned that there was something weird going on with the parking sensors, to which he replied that he wouldn't have time to hook it up to the computer today and that we would need to come back (mind you this was at 12:30 pm). We said ok, and then he told us he had been here for 25 years, knew what to do, and would text us when the car was done. We left, and 2 hours later, we received a text the vehicle was ready for pickup. We arrived at the shop, and no one was there to go over what was done to the car, if they noticed anything, etc. We saw the Cashier in the office looking over at us, annoyed, so we checked out. she was NOT friendly. On the paperwork from the mechanic, it said they changed the oil and rotated tires with a comment saying "the works" with no other explanation. We are new to the Ford family and will look for a different dealership/service department for future service. Very disappointing, especially considering all the positive reviews I have seen. More
