From the original phone call to exiting the dealership with our new car, we were treated fantastic! Billy Goss was the most knowledgeable sales person I've ever dealt with. We knew we wanted to test drive 2 styles of vehicles (Rav4 and the Highlander) to compare and see how they would fit in our budget. We drove the Highlander first and we knew it was the one. He went ahead and showed us the Rav4 which would have been a great "back up" plan if we needed to step down on price, but after driving the Highlander, we knew it was what we wanted. The price of the vehicle was never an issue... we actually sat down on the computer together and searched for vehicles comparable and Cowboy Toyota was literally the lowest price on Auto Trader within the 200 miler radius. Well, there WAS one that was 1000 bucks cheaper but had 10,000 extra miles on it and was 185 miles away... We knew what we wanted for our trade in, and never told him. The price he came back with exceeded our expectation and we were pleased. It was near closing time when Billy returned from the sales tower and they had based their payment range on an interest rate we felt we could do better than on our own. We discussed the Rav4 price range to easily fall in our budget, but we let him know we really wanted the Highlander at this time. We sat down once again on the computer and he pulled up an interest calculator and we went over several scenarios and how they would effect the payment. We were very close, mostly dependent on the interest. We left the dealership not knowing whether or not we were even going to buy the vehicle under the circumstances and needed time to think. I text Billy that evening and told him if he could get the terms we requested within an interest point either way, we would come and sign.
This is the kicker... He called me the next day and said he was able to get the deal done. I knew the interest rate would most likely be on the high end of what we had discussed. I was prepared for it. At the signing, I asked what percent they were able to get, and it was actually 1.6 LESS than the low end of what I agreed to on the text. They could have jacked with the percent to make a little more and did not. In the finance, we were explained all of the "extras" we could opt for and what they covered, and how much they cost. Very informative and led us to opt for an extended warranty.
Billy executed the delivery with a smile, answering all our questions, helping us set up our phones, guiding us through all of the new features, even opened our manual to put a sticky note on the important things we may need to reference in the future.
Cowboy Toyota is a great dealership and Billy Goss is the epitome of "salesman" Excellence.
