I sent my SUV for service last week and was told my battery was weak. This battery was replaced by the dealer roughly one year ago within 36K/3 year warranty free of charge. However, I was surprised th battery was weak. This battery was replaced by the dealer roughly one year ago within 36K/3 year warranty free of charge. However, I was surprised that the replaced one is bad again that needs to be replaced after one year of replacement. More difficult to understand is that this "newer" one is no longer in any warranty to be replaced, despite it has been on my car for just one year. The technician explained to me that this is the dealer policy that the replaced one will no longer have the warranty period since it should be still considered within the original 3 year-warranty period that is now expired. Frustrating! More
