Car idle at 600 couldn't fix idle at 1200, MM say that's cmpt setting so they charge $75 just to tell they can't I did it myself just to show it can be done and that the MASTER MECHANIC SHOULD APLY HIS K More

Dwayne, Hello, I responded to your recent review you sent in on 1/2/2022 about this concern, but I didn't hear back from you, I also called your phone number with my technician to answer any questions but no answer and no call back.. I am not sure exactly what you are saying here? I know we explained that when you came in with a concern of your idle rising and lowering abnormally, we found that your coolant level in the radiator was low and the expansion tank was empty, clearly a sign of the system being low on coolant which will cause an idle surge.. After topping off the system and checking the operating condition, the vehicle was idling at normal speed (700-750rpm) The diagnoses charge of $75.00 covered the 45 minutes time and coolant needed to fill your system, the idle was checked and was at normal speed. I am not sure what you are saying you fixed on your own? I am glad to see you rated us 5 stars for being friendly and having good customer service, thanks, We are sorry you were not fully satisfied with your experience. Why would i take my car in to adjust the idle if it was idling correctly? This just confirms my concern. You were fixing the wrong problem. I needed the idle adjusted from 1000 rpm to 600 or 700 rpm as it usually operate the the unstable idle was just something i notics and i mention to you to help to locate the problem as i have tried idle relearn and it dint fix the issues .i never ask to fix the unstable idle .that i know would be symtom of other malfunction you claim coolent was low i never had a coolent leak before but due to the fact that i just had my valve adjusted it may hahe loose some coolant so i gave you that .because i never check it...for the fix i just made the time and pull the idle control valve and adjust it to get the proper idle.. seem you didn't know that could be done....the reason why i took my xar to you was the convenience..i had a lot going on i want to pay to have it done since i can't find the time...you all charge me for diagnostic that wasnt nessesary or you didn't understand . After have my vehicles for more than 6 years you think i dont know when it is idling too fast....I may not be a Auto mechanic but i am Aircraft mechanic..yes there are major differences with aeroplane pistons engine it does not have all the complicated contraptions that motor car has it as simple as you regular lawnmower engine..fuel ,ingnition and lubricant..... ..so the whole deal is your Master Mechanic was fixing the wrong problem. And he missed the real issue which i fix myself and should have done in the first place than been charge $75 and wasted time for nothing...

Dwayne, I am sorry it seems there is a definitely a miscommunication here. I was the one who booked your appointment while I was standing with my shop foreman the day you came in to ask us for help on your 2004 Odyssey. He and I both agree on exactly what we interpreted from you, with the information you gave us. When you came in for your appointment, the information you gave us was typed on the repair order by the service advisor that you worked with that day. He then reviewed it with you, and then you signed it giving us permission to work on your vehicle agreeing to the cost $142.00 not $75.00. I am sure you would have told us then while reading what we wrote on the repair order, that the information was incorrect and give us other information to correct it? The repair order states exactly this below, it is on your copy, and is the information you gave us. Customer complaint: "customer states his idle keeps rising up and down, the customer spoke to Jason and Hector , believes timing may be off and car starts slow" Tech notes: checked for idle surge, drove vehicle, brought into shop and was unable to duplicate idle surge concern. Inspected vehicle and found coolant level low in the radiator and expansion tank was empty. Topped off radiator to full, then topped off the expansion tank. The vehicle is currently idling normally at this time. The only thing I can think of, is that maybe this was a intermittent problem that did not show signs of any idle problem while it was here, but if so, we were not explained it it was an intermittent problem. As I explained previously, an empty or low coolant system can cause the idle to surge/fluctuate up and down. This was an obvious problem that we caught and probably saved you an catastrophic overheating issue soon down the road If it was not taken care of. This is a common problem we see and fix often when some cars are being worked on at home, or by someone not familiar with properly servicing the system, so it was an obvious problem that needed to be taken care of, and the only thing we found wrong. We only charged you $75.00 and not the $142.00 you agreed on, thinking we would help you out since you have only been here for one recall in the past and hoping to build a customer relationship with you. Even with knowing you said you had your own mechanic that recently performed major work on your vehicle. (valve adjustment) We still tried to help you out the best we could, and discounted the time we worked/spent on your vehicle. You left a bad review, I personally called you and no answer, My foreman called you with no answer, we reached out to try and resolve your concern, but it seems I can only read what you say on this review site. I will not publicly keep an argument going when it is uncalled for.at this point. I wish you the best and I hope your Honda treats you well for years to come! Take care. Jason

Send me a email and i will send a picture of my vehicle idling at the correct rpm somthing your. MASTER MECHANIC said cant be done because it is controlled by the cars computer this is the proof that that person has no clue about this vehicle..and it concerns me that a reputable cR dealership could have limited knowledge people as Master Mechanic...

I just happen to read what you guys interprit as to what i want done first let me set the record right i ask as an additional gesture for you guys to just check my timing it wasnt a priority...and my first prioritywas to get my idle down from 1200 rpm to 600...i did mention that 2 days ago i saw an unusual instability with the idle ,rhat was just clue to help with your trouble shooting...that was never something that i ask to be fix because it was just a one time thinc and when the vehicle was taken there it was not doing that so is real unfortunate that you pass that information on to the mechanic and you claim i read and sign the paper that was your interpretation of what i told you that was not my word and you wrote the way you thing the mechanic would understand it..thats your job to pass on proper info tell me how many customers you get that have knowledge of how a car work? Your job is to be able to understand what their problem is that they are having and pass it on to the service tech..clearly you failed even has you were getting knowledgeable info which would help you..yet you fail so both you and your Master Mechanic fail because your emphasis did not fit the systoms and he did not question it or tried to confirm what was the true issue. But blindly go along with the write up.. and then find something to charge me $75 for adding coolant.. i promise i would take my car back to show you that i did it myself.. if you send me a email i can send a picture because this tesponce does not all for me to send a picture..
