Transmission fluid drain and fill on 2015 Honda Civic SE I brought my car in for a transmission fluid drain and fill because on April 24 I found the transmission fluid fill cap was removed and set aside next I brought my car in for a transmission fluid drain and fill because on April 24 I found the transmission fluid fill cap was removed and set aside next to filler hole. Apparently this cap had been off since the car was new, as I am the only person who has ever been under the hood of my car and I did not remove it. As a retired mechanical engineer, I perform all maintenance that can be done by owner (synthetic engine oil changes, trans fluid drain/fill, coolant drain/fill) and was preparing to perform the trans fluid drain/fill operation. This car has no trans fluid dipstick, and the filler hole and cap are almost impossible to see unless you use a light and look for them, so there was no reason I would ever look for or remove the cap until now. The undisputable fact is the filler cap had been off since the car was new. Car was purchased new at Curry Honda March 29, 2015. So either the cap was never installed at the factory (this car built in Canada) or it was removed at Curry during initial checkout back in 2015. Perhaps new cars from the factory arrive at Curry without fluids and the trans fluid is added by the dealership? That would explain why the filler cap was removed. I am reporting this so Curry Honda is formally aware of the fact they delivered a new vehicle with trans fluid filler cap removed. Prior to bringing the car into Curry on Apr 25 for trans fluid drain/replace, I explained these details to Andy Bassett, who sold me the car and whom I trust and have confidence in. I explained I wanted the service dept at Curry to checkout the quantity and quality of the trans fluid to see if any contaminants or moisture had entered the fluid over the 4 years the cap was off. I also asked if there was anything Curry could do for me, seeing as how this situation was missed by them back in 2015. Andy did check with service and explained I had no recourse. I decided I wanted an expert opinion on the trans fluid condition, so I brought the car in the next day for service. Again, I mention these facts so the service manager and owner of Curry Honda Chicopee are aware of what happened. As a former service manager myself, I would have offered something to my customer; maybe a sharing of the cost to perform the $119 service. More

Thank you Mr. Conrad and Mr. Aller I am extremely pleased with my experience with Curry Honda. After having airbag recall work completed my Pilot's key came up missing...a very rare eve I am extremely pleased with my experience with Curry Honda. After having airbag recall work completed my Pilot's key came up missing...a very rare event, I'm sure, Mr. Aller had his people searching right away. When it was not located, Mr. Aller arranged to have a new key made but it wouldn't be available until the next morning so Mr. Conrad offered me his own demo car to use overnight. Those two gentlemen dealt with the missing key and my inconvenience immediately. At that time I was made to feel that nothing was more important than my satisfaction and well being. A situation that could have led to disaster was handled in a most supportive and caring way. Mr. Conrad was in control of everything and Mr Aller had his team searching for the answer to what happened to the key...and, thanks to those two men in charge, I could continue on with my day with only a minimum of my time lost. My family and I are most appreciative and we are happy Curry Honda customers. Thank you for the opportunity to praise Mr. Conrad and Mr. Aller. Sandy and David More
