The salesman never mentioned that I should keep paying my lease payment. I figured GM Financial might contact me. When I didn't hear from anyone after the 2nd week in January, I called my salesman, who told me the car would be ready by the end of the month. Again, no mention of keeping up my lease payments, even though the lease had run out. By the end of the month when I contacted the salesman about my car, he told me early February. When I asked about paying on the lease that had expired at the end of the month, he sounded shocked that I hadn't paid anything. So I called GM Financial and they told me the amount that was due. I paid that amount.. Then 2nd week in February, GM Financial called me and said I was behind on Feb. payment. I asked about the payment I sent a few weeks back and they said that was for January. They asked me for $242.44 so I sent that amount in. 2 days later, I called my salesman, who they said was not in that day. Someone else said they would check and they found that my car had been there for 3 days. No one had contacted me. If they had, I wouldn't have paid the GM Financial. Then, my salesman, who I had been told was not there, calls me and tells me to come in for my car. I tell him about the $260 and $242 payments I had made, and he asked one of his managers to see about getting me back some or all of that $500.. That's when one of your "suits" comes over and tells me that they gave me such a good deal, they couldn't possibly give me any of that money back. I didn't want to get into a shouting match with this guy, buy I see in the papers, my used car is going for $27,000 and you only gave me $20,000 for my car on a trade in lease. So he could have easily offered me back the $242 I just paid 2 days earlier, when my NEW car was sitting in the lot. Ridiculous. When I negotiated my deal with your salesman, back in December, I told him I wasn't going to have my payment go up at all. I could see when used car prices were doing. So one of your :"suits" comes over and tells me the best I can do on a new lease was $300, when my previous payment was $250. I told him no and left the dealership. My salesman called me the next day, saying he didn't like the way the "suit" treated me, and that they found some more money on the trade in, and would I do the deal for $260. a month. I said I would. He asked me to send him $1000 to hold the deal. I did just that. When I showed up to get my new car, I was told that the $1000 was a down payment and that is how they got the car down to $260. This is NOT what I was told. I was clearly told by the salesman that the $1000 was to hold the deal on the car until it came in. So you can see I am NOT happy with the deal I got. I feel like I got screwed 2 times. Your keeping the $1000 as a payment that got my deal down to $260, is NOT you finding more money in trade in to get the deal down to what I wanted to pay. Then paying over $500 on the lease for the old car, when it was GM's problem not making cars fast enough so I could get my new car in the middle of January, then pushed back to end of Jan. then pushed back to the 2nd week in Feb. Total lack of communication. I am not a happy DePaula customer. In fact, I think I will be sending this story to the state attorney generals office. I feel like I've been ripped off..
