On 4-18-2024, Thursday, I brought my car in to have the tailgate latch replaced and suspected that the rear back up 54, 365070 $245.00, 365315 $6.10. On 4-18-2024, Thursday, I brought my car in to have the tailgate latch replaced and suspected that the rear back up light on the passenger side needed to be replaced - no light on reverse, passenger worked. I did some research on the latch and knew it was broken. Tech did find that the latch did indeed needed replacing. I paid $245 for diagnosis and $168 for the latch to be ordered. Latch came in on Monday. When I was not called by 1 o'clock, I called the parts department and was told that it did arrive. I asked to be transferred to the service department and was told the earliest appointment was on Tuesday morning, so I booked it. I picked up the car later and was told the latched was replaced and working and the rear back up bulbs were loose and reinserted and were working properly. When I was loading up the car on Wednesday afternoon so I could take off early Thursday morning, I found the latch was not closing properly because the light on the dash indicated the tailgate was not secured. I checked the tailgate and found I was able to wiggle it while it was still latched. I had to use extra force to close it to get the tailgate latched securely enough so there was no wiggle to it. The light on the dash did not come on. I called the service rep Thursday morning while I was on the road to explained what happened and we made an appointment on Tuesday morning when I returned home. Bought the car back on Tuesday morning, 4-30-2024, and told him now both passenger and driver side back up lights were not working. I suspected that both bulbs got dislodged because of the extra force I had to use to get the tailgate secured properly. When I came to pick up the car later, I was told the bulb on the driver side was burnt out and was replaced, paid $6.10 for the bulb. The service rep and I went out to the car to check on the car to make sure everything worked properly. The latch worked, but the new bulb on the driver side did not go on. The passenger side worked. I questioned if the tech checked to see if the new bulb worked. The service rep went in to ask and said he did and it did work properly. Then I was told this may incurred more diagnostic fee and charges. I understood that point, but I because of the adjustment of the tailgate latch was not checked initially and I had to discover this what am I supposed to think now with a new bulb not working when I did not drive the car off the lot. I told the service rep that I don't want to have anyone deal with this and I will check it myself. It will be a whole lot cheaper. So far I spent a total of $679.64: $490 for labor and $189.54 and I still have to fix something. The $490 in labor is very high for what was done. To let me drive off the lot without even checking on a new bulb which I paid $6.10 for that is not working, puzzles me. I understand Chris was on the job only a month, so he was only going according by the "book". Maybe a more experienced person MAY have done it differently. More

I also can’t forget the amazing Erin in Finance. She took the time to explain every little change and didn’t make me feel terrible for wanting the AWD model at the last minute (shout out to all the folks that made that swap happen!). Erin made the paperwork part painless and made sure every bit of it was clear. Together, they provided exceptional service, making my car-buying experience stress-free and enjoyable.
