We paid a premium price for a used Honda Element should have had a better experience. But we do love the Element! just not the Service at Don Ayres. Update: Don ayers Honda did work with me to feel comfortable with taking the car on a long trip.They had a local Honda dealer do a check on the vehicle and everything turned out fine. More

My experience, first car purchase was not great! The day I bought my car everyone was friendly. I had to bring my car back in a few days later for key lock/ key fob repair and NOBODY was friendly!!! My car was left there all day for repairing of driver side door locks, key fobs, and automatic starter repair. After emailing my sales man, Chris around 2 or 3pm he emailed me back saying I could come and pick it up. I get there finding out that my car was not repaired and only 1 key fob was going to be replaced. Chris telling me I would have to pay for the 2nd key fob and for my driver side door to be repaired, which was going to cost me $200. I was extremely furious since this was part of my purchase. His response was " what do you expect, it's a used car" VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will not be referring anyone to your sales dept. The service dept was great!! Doug Waltz is the BEST! He was the only one that made my buying purchase good. I took my car over to the service dept and Doug came over to ask what he could do, after giving him a run down of everything he informed me to not worry and he would take care of it. I left my car there over night so he could get everything fixed as soon as possible. He called me the next day, informed me of the repairs he was going to make and told me my car would be finished later that afternoon. When I picked up, my car was repaired and locks working great! Moral of my experience is sales dept is horrible on customer service but the service dept was great! Need more people in there like Doug Waltz there! I will continue to use the service dept but will never return to buy a car from the sales dept. More

WE TOOK OUR 2008 HONDA CIVIC IN BECAUSE THE A/C WASNT WORKING. THIS WAS NOT A SIMPLE REPAIR, IT TOOK A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND A LOT OF PHONE CALLS TO TECH SUPPORT. JAY HYLAND KEPT IN TOUCH WITH ME, WAS SYM WORKING. THIS WAS NOT A SIMPLE REPAIR, IT TOOK A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND A LOT OF PHONE CALLS TO TECH SUPPORT. JAY HYLAND KEPT IN TOUCH WITH ME, WAS SYMPATHETIC ABOUT IT TAKING SO LONG, AND KEPT WORKING ON THE CAR UNTIL THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE HAD A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THIS CAR AND BOTH TIMES HONDA HAS SHOWN SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY HUSBAND HAD BACK SURGERY AND WAS OFF WORK FOR SIX MONTHS, SO BUYING A NEW VEHICLE IS ON HOLD TEMPORARILY. WE WILL BE BUYING A NEW HONDA FROM DON AYRES SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE OF JAY HYLAND AND YOUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. ITS RARE A COMPANY STANDS BEHIND ANY PRODUCT ANYMORE AND HONDA DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB. While visiting family in Fort Wayne I noticed one of my headlights was out so I called to see if I could get it replaced before driving home to New Hampshire. To my surprise when I showed up the next morning I was immediately called into the service bay and my light was fixed within the time it took to pay for the part. Though the service representative (Jay) was unable to contact me by telephone to get my approval to resurface the brake rotors on my 2000 Honda CRV, the service manager (Doug) told him that I would appro contact me by telephone to get my approval to resurface the brake rotors on my 2000 Honda CRV, the service manager (Doug) told him that I would approve the necessary repair. This allowed me to get my car back about two hours sooner than if they waited to get my explicit approval before beginning the brake work. This kind of trust and relationship is the result of having purchased and maintained three Honda cars at Ayres Honda in the last twelve years. I have also recommended Ayres dealership to my friends who have also purchased cars. More
