HORRIBLE result from a trusted dealership. I have been a loyal customer for the last 6 years and just recently bought my fifth car in that time. Never had issue prior to this and truly believe I have been a loyal customer for the last 6 years and just recently bought my fifth car in that time. Never had issue prior to this and truly believed they sold solid cars and took care of customers. I bought a used car like I always have from them on same day we closed on our home. I test drove it prior and everything seemed good. After signing paperwork and going home I noticed blind spot monitor wasn’t on. I pushed the button to turn it on and it immediately sent up service alert for blind spot monitor and it didn’t work. I thought that’s a bummer but not a huge deal even tho I like that function. Later that night while driving I hear moon roof start to rattle around. Then it gets to the point where every little bump or turn moon roof rattles pretty loud. Then about a week later I start hearing a rubbing noise front right side while braking. Couple days later it turns to grinding noise. I was not thrilled but I was sure Ed Martin would make it right. So a couple of weeks had passed since purchase. I reached out to general manager who emailed me after the sale thanking me for business. In his defense he immediately responded. I told him of issues and he told me to bring it in and if there were any safety concerns they would take care of it any non safety issues “rattling moonroof” they would offer discount repairs. I thought great. So I take it in the grinding was a bad bearing they fixed. Then they said they would fix the moonroof for the great discounted price of $3100. I reached back out to manager and told him I was very disappointed with this purchase. The technician who looked at moonroof said it had far to much play in it and needed a new track and it needed immediate attention. I paid full market price for this car. The managers in my opinion knew the issue with the moonroof before selling the car. Manager told me car goes through 100 point inspection before sell. I have hard time believing they didn’t notice this. So when I mentioned to him about the blind spot monitor issue he told me well if I didn’t notice it during test drive he doesn’t see why his tech should have noticed it either. First of all it was turned off as soon as I turned it on it faulted out. Also should’ve been caught in 100 point inspection in my opinion. So now I have a car I paid full market price that needs thousands dollars in repairs. I will take some responsibility in this matter for allowing myself to have complete trust in the company and maybe checked things over better before buying but from the past I had no reason not to trust it was a solid car. The manger also told me cars as they get older need maintenance and things fixed…..?? Maybe he thought i wasn’t aware?. And I understand dealerships can’t fix every issue on every car they sell. However if there is a issue that costs thousands of dollars to repair it should be known to customers before the purchase and not sell the car for full price like it’s in top condition. I would have given zero stars for this review but there are some good people that work there. Finance manager is great and salespeople I know are as well. More
