Andrew, As we have been communicating via email on this issue privately, it appears your choice to move on to the public forum will render a different result. I will keep this short as there are two sides to every story. 1) this is 10-year-old car. As I mentioned, we stand by our vehicle’s safety, as that is paramount. Hence me not blinking on repairing the hub, even though you bought the car AS-IS. If the moon roof were leaking, that would have been a different story. We cannot spend $3,000 on a non-safety replated function as it is a huge percentage of the vehicle's actual value. 2) You did not bring these items to us for 3-weeks post-sale. Life is busy, but every time you have emailed me, I have gotten back with you, including on Sundays. I have given you my personal cell number on multiple occasions over the past week and you have yet to call me once. Slandering our name in public forum seems a lot like revenge, not diplomacy. 3) You bought this vehicle AS-IS, and you knew that. You know we don’t sell junk vehicles, hence you purchasing six vehicles from us in the past. We both agreed 7-days ago, to your credit in your review, any safety item would be covered by Ed Martin. I stood by my word, but you changed your mind after that initial email chain. As mentioned in your own review, you test drove (for 20-30 minutes per your email) and noticed nothing wrong with it. My technician’s test drive is about half that as they hit all the speeds and gears and come back. So I ask, why tell the world we are selling you a junk vehicle when the case is clearly obvious we had no idea the moon roof was making a noise? Secondly, Although we quoted you a replacement moonroof, as we are not a Lexus dealer, why not just take it to Lexus and get them to quote you on a repair? Few, if anyone, would replace an entire $3k moonroof on an old vehicle. Logic tells me you should get a repair quote for a fraction of the price at the manufacturer’s dealer service dept. I take a lot of pride in my team and the job they do. I take even more pride in helping our customers, but in this case, attempting to push me around by copy/pasting your edited version of this story on multiple review sites-- it’s really not helping my cause for any good will. You can say what you want to try to make the issue sound better than it is. I am not trying to “push anyone around”. I am leaving a review. Something you asked me to do in email after purchase. When did I ever say you sold junk cars? When did I change my mind? I have told you from the beginning I was not pleased with the purchase. Everything I said I believe is the truth. You had my number as well you could have called me. There was no need to call you. You told me what you would do and that’s exactly what you did. You were done with the vehicle and were not going to do anything else anyway so I am not sure why you say this changes how we move forward. I didn’t want to leave this review but I believe you earned it. I have been a loyal customer and this is how this issue was for me was handled.
