My experience with Kyle Klase was great from the get-go. - CLW
My experience with Kyle Klase was great from the get-go. I reached out late one night to inquire about a specific vehicle, and the next morning, Kyle responded with a short video, in which he introduced himself and showed me the details of the specific vehicle I was interested in. I drove up from Bloomington that afternoon, and the Camry was waiting for me to take it for a test drive. I saw another Camry on the lot that I felt was more what I was looking for, and I ultimately decided to go with that car. I'm VERY happy with my choice, and really love driving my new AWD Camry XSE.
Kyle was knowledgeable about Toyotas and explained the features in a clear, straightforward way. I could tell that he was particularly busy that day with a few other customers, but he was attentive and was a pleasure to work with. I had a few less-than-ideal experiences with other Toyota dealerships in the area, so it was a relief to work with someone who knew what they were doing and valued my business.
I only have two cons:
I am pretty certain I paid a bit more than I should have for the vehicle, when looking at the sticker price versus the "sale" price, and a VSPP discount that I was expecting to get due to my brother being a Toyota employee. It all seems intentionally confusing, though that kind of stuff can be to me anyway, but I digress. I went alone and admittedly sometimes have my blinders on when I find something that I want. I probably should have asked a few more questions to better understand why I paid what I did, but that is not Kyle's or Ed Martin Toyota's fault. AND, I was given almost nothing for my trade, which is to be expected if you trade a very used 2012 car at a dealership, so that is nothing against Kyle.
The only other slight peeve was that because of waiting for him to deal with other customers/phone calls/him forgetting to transfer my license plate, it kind of delayed things a bit, and I left the parking lot in my brand new car right at the start of rush hour. It was terrible timing and was not fun trying to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic in a car I wasn't yet familiar with. In his defense, I could've arrived earlier than 1:00 p.m. if traffic had been a big concern to me.
I still give him five stars, and I don't want those minor negatives to deter anyone, but I also want to keep it real. Go to Ed Martin for their huge selection of vehicles and friendly sales staff, and ask for Kyle Klase!
