I believe the only real problem was miscommunication between service intake to the service department manager (Jim) this caused a bad feeling, I felt blown off. In the real world "it" happens within any support technical or mechanical. Also after going back and fourth to speak with Jim I can see how a callback might get missed this guy works his tail off. At first I gave this dealership rating a 1 (at first). After working with Jim whom corrected the problem, which was just a mistake during a service visit (accidental broken piece on lower air intake). Elmwood Dodge/Chrysler covered the labor, made it a priority and not only brought my wives T&C in ASAP had only their foreman Ernie(whom was great, spoke to him personally) do the install.. Afterward James Bray(Service Manager) wanted some details regarding the experience, from A-Z (which in my opinion, right there speaks volumes that they cared about making customers happy and loyalty mattered to Elmwood Dodge/Chrysler). In this day in age most major companies are bottom liners ("all about $") ,business have to make money, they wouldn't exist if they. When they do this at the cost of bad customer service, you lose more than money, you lose loyalty which in the long run is worth the most. James Bray that I had this particular conversation with understood that completely. I believe Jim did too, we didn't really speak "business talk" but he knew keeping a customer was worth more than anything. So I explained the chain of events on what went on. Technical diagnosis is a pain sometimes you have to fix a problem and see if something else remains, during the course air filter lower plastic clip broke which being plastic happens. My wife who brought the care in for a tune up then eventually noticed coolant leak they troubleshot this and found some leaking near the intake manifold gasket,(this was in fact two separate issues you could clearly see on the cylinder head coolant dripping) and was fixed, there was still as slight leak the next day, I looked myself and could see the side of the radiator had a leak and brought it in a for a quote\possible repair, during one of the visits the air filter was changed and that's when the piece to the air box broke. To fix the radiator since such easy to access I went aftermarket put this in 45 minute job just to save some money, I also saw why the surging was going on that my wife mentioned, The clip retaining the top part of the air box was snapped off. I explained after the service manager replaced the bottom portion and made things right, they are now a 5 in my book (just fixing it, and talking it out with Jim went from 1 to 5). Working with Jim and James, who understood the issue and corrected it (unbelievable ETR).Needless to say I Couldn’t wait to come home to update my review on dealerrater.com. The dual coolant problem is just BAU technical support you have to fix one thing before you start fixing multiple things since you will never determine RCA. "IT" we call it the shot gun approach (change more than one thing at once to attempt to fix some unexplained problem)and its the worst way to troubleshoot. So their service department is okay in my book now, I would recommend them to anyone. Honestly, I jumped the gun before talking to the proper folks at Elmwood. Once my T&C came out of the garage, James went on and asked if there was any possible thing he could do for me, (I wasn't expecting to be asked) but I figured if anyone could program this RKE(Remote Keyless Entry FOB (ordered aftermarket long time ago and whole other story) would be Dodge/Chrysler themselves. Turned out I got a broken RKE via aftermarket *NOTE* THIS WAS AN AFTER MARKET RKE, ***NOT OEM*** nor purchased from this or any Chrysler\Dodge dealership**** just because of the price for the part I went that route, which I will return since it’s just garbage. This is hit or miss with the aftermarket RKE industry. I was more than happy they even tried . I thanked them for the attempt asked them for the price of a new one, at this point I had no issues with Elmwood or service department working on my car(s) even paying for an RKE since its a T&C and wanted to have one programmed and pay for it BAU my old RKE was going south. I did ask if possible maybe do something on the price or program fee or whatever they could. Jim returned in 5 minutes said he had good news and bad news, good news he handed me an OEM RKE, Bad part was the internal security of the car will only allow an attempt or two to program an RKE since we tried the aftermarket first we had to let the computer clear the attempt. Friday AM to allow the internal security system to reset dropped off the T&C the pro's at the garage since subsequent RKE attempts are certain procedure that take on average an hour take hour, received free shuttle service home, once programmed, their driver was going to pick me up. I have to admit I wish I remembered the shuttle drivers name. Even his personality was great. Every interaction with the service department be it Jim, James or Ernie had been great, each one of these men, though at this point they weren't making any money off me, were giving me the attention and care like I was buying their newest SRT. Jim, Ernie, James and all whom went above and beyond their job duties. In this day in age it speaks volumes for Elmwood's customer service, to me I see they want long term relationships with their customers, make happy customers and not at just that particular moment, but build a loyalty base. FYI. I normally never write-up reviews, bad or good. Once I have been done wrong I just don’t go back. However Elmwood Dodge I had a feeling if I spoke to the proper folks would make things right I've worked in the automotive industry in the past and they only thing that has ever kept anyone in business is loyalty to the customer and I will continue to speak well of them and refer friends, family and suggest them if it ever comes up. Every car buyer should give up all other brands and shop only at Elmwood Dodge. After trying numerous Dodge dealers in the greater Worcester area we took a chance and drove to East Providence to look at a D only at Elmwood Dodge. After trying numerous Dodge dealers in the greater Worcester area we took a chance and drove to East Providence to look at a Dodge Charger. Right from the initial interaction you could tell the experience was going to be better than the rest. Noel knew his product and was genuine from the start. We worked a deal that was respectful to us as buyers and received a favorable trade price. The buying experience was fantastic so I worried about the financing which was unnecessary. Vin Asermely was friendly and exerted zero pressure to add anything to the sale. While in the finance office we met the owner, who later introduced us to his wife who stopped by for a visit. Not only was our experience with Noel in Sales and Vin in finance wonderful, but the entire Elmwood team was friendly. As we were leaving with a spectacular 2013 Dodge Charger r/t plus Noel hugged us and congratulated us and Vin rushed out to say goodbye and hug us too. Car buying is stressful but it doesn't need to be, shop at Elmwood Dodge and you'll never shop anywhere else. More

They made me feel Quite at home at the Dealership. We have since become friends after my Jeep purchase. I stop by from time to time with a couple of dozen donutz for the guys and say howdy. I plan on buying another Ram Crew Cab from them shortly this year. I am always well received and enjoy our short chats. Can't tie these guys up for too long, they have to sell some vehicles and make a living. Most people give Car Salesmen a bad rap...these Guys do their best to get a fair and just price for your trade and work hard at keeping your monthly payment where you need it to be. And they are knowledgeable about outright Purchases vs Leases. I'm looking forward to my first oil change which is free. I'd recommend this Dealership hands down... Go Hemi ! Sarge More

There was absolutly no pressure and i had all the time to test drive and go at my own pace. I want to mention Noel Tavarez (salesperson) who helped me purchase my truck. He was "the best" salesman i ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was friendly and funny. He made it easy for me to decide what I want and was very accomodating. I enjoied my experience there with him and would definately purchase another truck there again sometime in the future. I highly recommend Elmwood Dodge and Noel Tavares to my family and friends. More
Elmwood Dodge is simply the most professional, pleasant, and capable dealership. Our company mystery shops auto dealers, so we know what to expect when it was time for us to actually go out and purchase our own vehicle. After reviewing the area DCJR (Dodge, Chrylser, Jeep, Ram) dealer to expect when it was time for us to actually go out and purchase our own vehicle. After reviewing the area DCJR (Dodge, Chrylser, Jeep, Ram) dealers on more than one occasion, we knew we were going to buy it at Elmwood. When we got to Elmwood, we were shown the exact model and color that we were looking for. Jay (the owner) helped us, as everyone was busy, and pointed out the features and benefits. He also gave a price on the spot, which was excellent. There was no haggling necessary. The transaction was handled by Ritchie Ruggiero, and we also worked with Ben and Dennis at the sales desk to figure out some of the options that were available. All of them were professional and courteous. There are plenty of reviews on these types of sites that say that someone has had a great experience at some dealer, which is true. But in most cases, that experience is based on a once every four-year transaction, and often very limited experience at another dealership to compare it to. We evaluate dealers (professionalism, pricing, courtesy, facility, inventory) etc, every day. When we say that Elmwood stands out as excellent, we say that dealing with thousands of mystery shopping experiences at auto dealers over the years. When I went back a few days later to discuss an option that I wanted, I noticed that they had a banner that proclaimed that Jay L’Archevesque was nominated for the national “Dealer of the Year”. I’m not surprised. More
I (Christopher Hogan) purchased a pre-owned 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Elmwood Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep. I asked the salesman if they would register the car for me. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem. Grand Cherokee from Elmwood Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep. I asked the salesman if they would register the car for me. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem. I then stated that I’m a disabled veteran and would like to obtain RI vet plates. I was told no problem just give us a copy of your DD-214, an extra $200 and we will get it done, so I did. I left the dealership with temporary plates. When I did leave in my “new” Jeep I noticed the gas was on empty and the fuel light was on. I figured “oh well” used car I guess they don’t provide any fuel for purchasing a vehicle, and drove to the nearest gas station. As I got home with the Jeep, I backed into my driveway; my wife noticed the tail lights were not working correctly. Being I had to work early in the morning, I just drove down the street and picked up replacement bulbs to fix the problem myself. After several days with my Jeep and noticing that my temporary plates were about to expire I called to ask if my plates were in. I was told they should be in soon, and I would receive a call as soon as they arrive. One day before they expired I called to ask what was going on. They said they ran into trouble registering the vet plates, they would resolve it and get back to me. My plates expired, I called again and asked what was going on, I was told again we will get back to you by the end of the day. At the end of the day hearing no response, I called again, this time a secretary asked my name, and stated “yes your plates are here you can pick them up when ever your available.” After several weeks I received a phone call from a manager, stating that he had heard all the problems I experienced and would like to do anything he could to gain my trust back. I explained that the rear windshield washer fluid canal did not work since day one. He stated that he would get back to me after the weekend and help setup and appointment. He called after the weekend and asked what the problem with the Jeep was that I wanted resolved, I told him, he asked what days work for me to take it in, and I told him. He responded by saying he was going to check on availability and get back to me. It’s been three weeks since that phone conversation and I have not heard back from Elmwood about an appointment. Their attention to detail and customer service is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to deal with this corporation even if they were giving free vehicles away. More
