Excellent Service - Replaced intake manifold I brought the car in because the engine warning light came on. The cause was a broken intake manifold, which was covered under the powertrain warrant I brought the car in because the engine warning light came on. The cause was a broken intake manifold, which was covered under the powertrain warranty. The work was going to take a few hours, so they provided transportation home and back. The service department at Family Hyundai was a big part of my decision to purchase my 2012 Tucson there. Prompt friendly and efficient I was welcomed, recognized as a returning customer, and quickly advised as to the expected time the car would be serviced and returned to me. The waiting area is large, (it would be good if we could get away from the TV and the interminable talk shows) comfortable and clean. Coffee and snacks provided and maintained. Service was dome promptly and on time and I was able to enjoy a "free" oil change as part of Family's program of caring for the customer (third synthetic oil change free). This is such a more friendly and customer caring dealership than my previous Hyundai dealer(Phillips in Bourbonnais). Jim Rich was the Advisor who welcomed me and kept me updated and dealt with the Hyundai Rewards Certificate, a BIG thank you Jim! More

There for recall I know that part of going to a dealership when you get a recall is they check everything for you which I appreciate. However sometimes they recommend I know that part of going to a dealership when you get a recall is they check everything for you which I appreciate. However sometimes they recommend things that are not needed which is very frustrating. Was told I needed outer left tire rod which would lead to a front end alignment. I had two others check and they said the tire rod was not needed. There is some rust but there is no play as they suggested. I just don’t appreciate because I’m a woman feeling like they can just take advantage of me. That would’ve been over $450 for parts and labor and something that wasn’t necessary at this point. People in service are phenomenal though! Very friendly and helpful! They want to charge way too much for parts. It’s just not this dealership, it’s typical for all dealerships. More
