I showed up at 7:35 on a Saturday morning for an 8:00 appointment for a simple oil change. Everybody was nice and pleasant and my car got moved into the service bays within a few minutes of my arrival. appointment for a simple oil change. The service advisor said to hang tight, it would take about 90 minutes (for an oil change, mind-you). Around 9:00 I started to wonder where my car was. You would think I would already be on my way home, but no. I decided to walk the parking lot around the service bays to see where my car was so I could find out what's going on. It's 9:20 by that time and I find the young man working on my Mustang. He literally just started and the only thing he had done was take the oil cap off. I told him to stop, put the cap back on and bring my car back outside. I found out that my car had been put on the bottom of the work list for the day, which means they work on the car at the end of the day if they have time and if they don't get to it today, they'll get to it tomorrow... for an oil change with the customer waiting. I tried to talk to the service advisor about it and he literally blew me off. I got the yeah, yeah, yeah. I was mad and he knew it but chose to ignore me anyway. I talked with the service manager who apologized profusely and tried to make it right, but the damage had already been done. After the service advisor blew me off, my anger went to a completely different level of xxxxxx. I'm a reasonable person and it takes an awful lot to get me that mad. My problem is with the insincerity of the service advisor who had no interest in even talking to me after I identified the problem and the number of mechanics who were in the shop joking and smoking with each other, not doing anything. I could see the guys just standing around chit-chatting. This Ford dealership lost a customer today. I won't be back. More
