An Excellent Local Dealership I "cold called" Gates, talked to someone named "Tara" and asked her a general question about the Nissan incentives. We were planning to go the VERY N I "cold called" Gates, talked to someone named "Tara" and asked her a general question about the Nissan incentives. We were planning to go the VERY NEXT morning to Crowley Nissan in Bristol, CT and buy a 2018 Nissan Frontier truck. After she answered my general question, she asked some about the exact model, features, color, price, etc. we were looking for. Soon I was explaining all of that, and - - surprise - - she said they have the exact truck we wanted on their lot! It also had a value-added package with a few more features than we had planned on, including sonar and heated seats, which we had wished for. She asked how much we were planning to spend, said she would check with her manager, called me right back, and matched the price we were going to pay! Bottom line is that we didn't have to drive the 50 minutes along a challenging route to Bristol, CT, and got more in the package for the truck we wanted, at the price we wanted, at our local dealer! She suggested we prearrange the financing (which was for 36 months and 0% interest offered by Nissan this month), and I filled out the online finance form. We went there the next morning. She greeted us, had the truck parked in front, went over the features, went inside, and we agreed to the deal! Badda-boom, badda-bang! (We also appreciated the small gesture of her getting a cup of coffee and a bottle of water for us.) She then walked us through the various dealership areas that we would be using in the future, introduced us to the Service Manager and then the Finance Director, who went over the contract, which we signed. At every step Tara was on the ball. We appreciated her helpfulness, efficiency, knowledge, and friendliness. She even went the extra step of setting up my husband's I-phone to connect with the truck and showed us the radio, tape, etc. features. The truck was detailed, washed, and looked terrific when we drove it home. We're happy to have found a hassle-free deal with pleasant and helpful people, Nissan incentives, and a few free oil changes and tire rotations thrown in - - all at our local dealer within an easy 15 minute drive! More

I was offered a tour of the facility, explaining the process service process and what I should expect, Additionally, I was tutored on the in’s and outs of my new vehicle including setting up the app and OnStar. I received a phone call the next day to see if I was having and problems or had any questions. Totally impressed and I will be a customer for life and I will tell my friends. Thank You!! More

Hassle-Free Experience Nothing could have gone any smoother with the experience I had at Gates Nissan! My [now previous] car had been totaled during a snowstorm and Tara/Gat Nothing could have gone any smoother with the experience I had at Gates Nissan! My [now previous] car had been totaled during a snowstorm and Tara/Gates Nissan had me in a new vehicle within one day of my initial call to them. - They were more helpful than my own dealership, where I'd gotten my my [now totaled] Impala lease from! Tara was responsive, always available, and answered questions as they arose (even by text!). I was worried about getting approved for a car and even more worried about changing from a car maker/company I was comfortable with. From the first call I made to her, she made me feel like I always had options -she never said no and offered alternatives and resolutions to issues as they arose (crucial to good customer service and unfortunately, typically often lacking). Tara made the process feel like a collaborative effort, in which we were working as a team towards a mutual goal - to get me back on the road ASAP. Everything was decided WITH Me; not decided For Me or About Me. It can often feel like it is the needs of the dealer(s) that determines what "works" for the customer, but Not in this case! The whole experience was concise, to the point, and LITERALLY hassle-free. A total of two, maybe three hours of my life were spent, from start to finish, in getting me my new car. I called Tara just before closing on a Saturday and that Monday afternoon I was driving myself to work. (It would have been that Sunday, the very next day, but I was unavailable). :-) The typical car buying process can take DAYS of nonstop annoying phone calls, back and forth emails, websurfing, negotiations, sleepless nights, an ever-nagging feeling of indecision, etc, etc. It doesn't have to be this way. It SHOULDN'T have to be this way! Thank you Gates Nissan. More
