Excellent customer service - exceeding expectations I was on my way to the Cape for a family vacation . My daughters freestyle was thousnads of miles overdue for an oil change . We were just going to drop it off at there Webster location and pick it up a week later . We were not aware that there Webster location is under renovation and can not service vehicles . Super Lou Kaplan to the rescue . He came out greeted us , said he would get the truck to Whitinsville and have it back in Webster by next week . My daughter decided to go home early . We called Harbro to see if it were available for pick up . They of course delivered it to my driveway . All I can say is WOW . I like to try to use local businesses but this business really earns its reputation . See you soon Harbro and keep up the great work . More

Initially, service charged them half the cost of the tires. Spoke with Mike Hare, who reimbursed them the total cost....with an apology and a firm handshake. Later that same day, my parents were at the dealership with a car they had recently purchased...Mike was on the ground touching up some surface scratches on their car (purely cosmetic, but bothered my mother enough to mention it). Where else would you get such service? More

He made the process easy, gave us what we wanted in a car with payments we could work with. Since this is based on the dealership as a whole, I'd have to say I'm disappointed with our purchase from them. My father highly recommended Harbro since he's bought two vehicles from them. Even though we live an hour from them we decided it was worth the trip. We met Jay and he found us a decent car which two days later we were able to drive away with. Two days after we picked up the car, the engine started bucking and struggling. We called Jay and he said to bring the car back for the service department to look at. There was water in the engine and it caused some other problems BUT Harbro did take care of it and included a rental. But it was a major hassle as my husband had to take time off work to bring it back and pick the car up again. The key fob didn't work when we picked up the car so we were told to come back on a Wednesday when their "key guy" would be there. Wednesday came and I called to see when he'd be there and was told 11:00 and that I could get there for 11:15. Remember, we live an hour away, and I got caught in construction traffic which delayed us 15 minutes. I called the service department to let them know I was still coming and I'd be 15 minutes late. Well, it turns out the "key guy" arrived at 10:00 and Chris let him leave, even though he KNEW I was coming. What an inconvenience to drive an hour each way for nothing. My husband called and Chris told him he would "talk to Jay" and see what he could do to remedy the situation and call my husband back. No call was received by Chris, so my husband called our awesome sales person the following day and Jay said he didn't know anything about it. I had to again go back 2 weeks later (and 2 more hours of driving round trip) so this key guy could make the fob. A few days later we received a package via UPS Air asking for signatures on paperwork. Something happened and they made a mistake on our paperwork and we had to sign a new contract. They DID make our first payment to the bank for us as it was due 2 days after receiving this and their mistake. We have had this car for less than 5,000 miles and now there's a loud squealing sound coming from the rear axle. I'm so disappointed that this is the second time this car is going to need a repair in just the short time that we've had it. The Harbro process of getting into a car was certainly no hassle. It's after you buy the car, that the car will be more hassle than you wanted. I'm glad others had a positive experience and hoped ours would have been as well. **Update 8/29/2014: Mike Hare and Jay both reached out to us following this review. Jay offered to meet up with us to give a rental and have the car looked at. We had already gone to a mechanic in our town so there's no longer an issue. I updated the rating to reflect both of them trying to make it right with us. I really appreciate that even though there were problems, Mike and Jay tried to help.** More

Tow Package added to my Car Recently I had Harbro Auto, Service add a tow package to my 2006 Pontiac G6 Convertible - pretty unconventional I'm sure. But we have a small Teardro Recently I had Harbro Auto, Service add a tow package to my 2006 Pontiac G6 Convertible - pretty unconventional I'm sure. But we have a small Teardrop Trailer that we wanted to pull with the convertible. This is not typical work for Harbro but everything went without a hitch (No Pun Intended). We used the tow hitch this past weekend and everything worked perfectly. AS ALWAYS I would not go anywhere else... everyone was super nice, the price was fair and everything was done perfectly!! More

Above and Beyond ! My oldest daughter had bought two vehicles from Harbro and we were very impressed with their attention to details, their ability to set and maintain a My oldest daughter had bought two vehicles from Harbro and we were very impressed with their attention to details, their ability to set and maintain appointments and thier " sales booklet" when she picked up her vehicles. It came to be, my wife and youngest daugther were sharing the same vehicle ( my daughter had it 80 % of the time for work) so we went by the Whitinville lot and did not see anything that appealed to us. We called Mike and told him what we were looking for and within a couple of days he had found us a "used" 2014 Ford Taurus with a great price attached.. We purchsed it and gave the other car to my daughter. Due to unforseen circumstances, we were back three weeks later looking for another car for my daughter and found a nice clean and affordable car for her in Webster. Mike and Mark were both excellent to work with, talk with and very thorough with the whole process. I would certainly recommend Harbro to anyone searching for a used car.
