A Deal and Professionalism Worth The 800 Mile Drive I purchased a 2016 Toyota 4Runner Premium ( WITH OPTIONS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR) from on-line. I live over 800 miles from dealership, nothing I purchased a 2016 Toyota 4Runner Premium ( WITH OPTIONS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR) from on-line. I live over 800 miles from dealership, nothing in my area offered what I was looking for. By phone conversations a sales agreement was made without me actually being able to personally view the vehicle. Rob Williams and Johnny Saghbini went the extra mile for me by taking requested photos and emailing them to me along with other pertinate information relating to the vehicle. They also gave the vehicle a complete look-over as if they were buying it themselves. They were very professional and easy to work with, and most important, "THEY FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO" This is what builds and earns my trust. My son and I drove the 800 miles to pick up the vehicle and we were NOT disappointed. The sale was smooth and fluid (even on a Sunday) and the Title and other documents were "Over-nighted Air" to me as promised. Can't say enough good about our experience. My 17 yr old son was very impressed and excited about this experience and said to me "Dad, I want to buy my first car from here!" So we may be up for another road trip in the near future. More

Long Time Customer .... No More I started dealing with the Herb Chambers group in 1989. The sales and service staff was second to none. We purchased a Lexus LX 470 in 2003. The deal I started dealing with the Herb Chambers group in 1989. The sales and service staff was second to none. We purchased a Lexus LX 470 in 2003. The deal was fantastic , from delivery of the vehicle to the follow up service. When i purchased the vehicle we agreed ALL service would be performed by the dealership.For many years the service and staff was excellent. A few years ago we decided to lease a new vehicle . The dealership had constantly nagged me on how they wanted to buy back my LX470. When the time came and we decided to sell them the vehicle it became a bait and switch. I told them from the get go . I didn't want another truck. I just wanted to sell this one. after wasting TOO much time with the dealership with them trying to get me into another car ..I sold the LX for $ 10,000 MORE than what they offered me to a private party. The dealership had been going thru MANY changes, Head Sales Managers, Service managers. The quality of service was declining. We went on to lease a vehicle. after spending 2 days going over all the details and picking out the truck we signed the papers. The salesman gives us a nice hand shake and assured us he would be there for any issues about the vehicle . 2 days after we drove our truck off the lot . The salesman retired. No big deal. The life of the lease I felt i was paying too much. My fault. I should have done my homework. Now, the lease is up and its time to either return the vehicle or get another one from Herb Chambers. We have been LOYAL customers of the dealership for 14 years. Add up ALL the service invoices over 14 years. I make an appointment to look at new vehicles. The woman who I have the appointment with deflects us to a young woman who has been there 3 months. The salesperson has Little or NO knowledge about the model we are looking at . She tells us the truck ONLY comes with a red interior. My wife grabs a flyer on the vehicle. It comes in 3 colors. Now the fun begins... She breaks out a computer print out, after making us wait in the lobby for an hour , finally because I had her paged ' she was "closing a deal with someone else ", ALL the trucks available. 5 on the east coast. We call it a day and head out for lunch. Another salesman calls me with all wrong information about what i want. My phone gets blown up with text messages and phone calls . They want $1,000 down payment to LOOK for a truck. I refused. She came back with they are going to " Do me a favor " now its just $500 to find the vehicle After 2 days of being aggravated we decided to go to INSKIP Lexus in Warwick. In 45 minutes the vehicle was located. In 2 days the vehicle is in our driveway. And $ 150. a month cheaper . After ALL these years of being a LOYAL customer and bragging how GREAT Herb Chambers was.... I Will unfortunately NEVER deal with them again. Its too bad. For so many years it WAS a Great dealership.... Not any more. also, I am not naming anyone on purpose. Everyone needs a job and I don't want to get anyone fired. Losing MY business and recommendations is good enough . More
