We were at Herb Chambers picking up my husband's truck from service and I was looking around the show room when the 2013 Rav 4 caught my eye. I was short on time and when I had to leave, he handed me a brochure and his parting words were that "he would be available whenever I wanted to visit the dealership and take one for a test drive". I was currently driving a 2007 FJ Cruiser and had not been planning to change vehicles at this time. I looked at the brochure many times over the next month or so and when I decided to go test drive one, I went back to Herb Chambers to find Wayne. He again took the time to tell me all about the Rav 4, then we took it for a test drive and then we discussed what options I wanted. The team there was very accommodating, taking the time to offer the best trade for the FJ and obtain the vehicle and options I was looking for. However, I was just not ready to sign on the dotted line. I was not an easy sell and had it in my head I was going to shop around. After that visit, Wayne touched base with me but did not pressure me. I had to know I was getting the best deal. Within the next week or so, I visited 2 other Toyota dealers looking to get a better trade in deal. Neither of the other Toyota dealers offered such attentive, knowledgeable, patient sales people like Wayne nor could they compare to Herb Chambers trade in deal. After all comparisons were done, Herb Chambers won hands down with high marks going to Wayne Brodsky as the best salesman. I revisited with Wayne, he answered all my remaining questions, he made sure all bases were covered and we closed the deal. Within days, Herb Chambers obtained the exact vehicle I wanted. Wayne you are the best! Also kudos to Mr. Bortuloussi, General Manager for personally thanking me for my purchase. Also kudos to Mr. Jeffrey Krasner who took the time to explain Herb Chambers Service Department. Also kudos to finance for finalizing paperwork so quickly. Oh yeah, love my 2013 RAV 4! More
My husband and I came in knowing it was time to retire our 2001 Toyota. With a special needs child at home and one in college...we were so nervous about a new expense. John Bellofatto, was so polite, his kindness began to set us at ease that we had found the right person to talk to. He wasn't pushy...he showed us around, he let us take our time...(we were there for about four hours that day). We went for an amazing test drive...and we fell in love. Mr. Bellofatto helped us to find a way to make the most affordable choice for us...showing us what was available, and all that was offered. Without knowing us personally or what an expense something like Autism can be...he fought to get us the best deal possible. We left that day with our minds at ease, knowing that Mr. Bellofatto helped us make the best decision...he catered to our family. If we had any questions, he was there when we called. Today in our driveway sits a brand new Toyota Corolla...I love it so much I named it Jasper lol. We plan on being back in a couple of years for a truck. It was by far the best service ever. Having relocated from Singapore, I was finding it very difficult to buy a car in the anbsence of local license and credit history. He is always friendly and knowledgeable and he goes out of his way to be accommodating. Since I was not "mobile" at that time, he was kind enough to swing by our house and deliver, pick up or drop off anything from paperwork etc. He also spends a lot of time familiarizing us with the new vehicle. I actually came in to have some lug nuts replaced on my Toyota Camry. While I was waiting for the service, I was looking at the Rav 4 in the showroom. Bob came over and was very friendly and asked what I thought of the Rav 4. I told him that my wife and I were thinking about moving to the Rav 4, but we ad 10 months left on our lease. I explained that we had gone to another local Toyota dealer and they could not meet our requirements to trade the Camry and keep our payments where we needed them. Bob asked if I would give Herb Chambers a chance. I laughed and said sure, not expecting any better results. Bob and the managers worked hard to fulfill our requirements and I was shocked that they were able to work out a deal that I was extremely happy with. I also told him that I needed to pick up the vehicle the next day due to commitments the following week. He again talked to the people who take care of registration and paperwork and said that it should work out. I signed the deal and left the dealership at 3pm very happy about the deal. To my SHOCK, Bob called me at 5:45pm and asked if I could come back that same afternoon to pick up the Rav 4. They had already completed the paperwork, registration, spoke with my insurance agent and were prepping and cleaning the vehicle. I went back and picked up the vehicle and Bob went over everything in detail with me and answered any questions I had. I'll be honest, I have never had a better experience purchasing a vehicle than I had with Bob and Herb Chambers. As I review the experience in my mind, I am still shocked that everything worked out as it did and how easy and pleasant the purchase was! I never write reviews on purchases, but this was too great an experience not too write this. Thanks for everything Bob. FYI: I love the new Rav 4!!! More
This was my first experience buying a car and it was better than I could have hoped for! I came across this dealership because I was looking to replace my 2003 Toyota Corolla with a newer model of the better than I could have hoped for! I came across this dealership because I was looking to replace my 2003 Toyota Corolla with a newer model of the exact same thing (down to the color) and Herb Chambers had one of the best prices I could find online. Marque was awesome throughout the whole process and went above and beyond my expectations. Because I was driving about 2 hours from Maine, he made sure everything was set up and ready to go to make the experience as smooth as possible and kept me informed throughout the process. There had been a discrepancy on the internet price -- I had seen the car (mistakenly) listed for a couple thousand less than it was supposed to be -- and Marque honored the price that I had found online for me. A few days after I purchased the car, I discovered that there was a small problem with one of the back speakers that I unfortunately didn't notice at the dealership because I never turned the radio on. Rather than have me drive all the way back to Auburn to have this fixed, Marque offered to write me a check for the repair cost to the speakers, which I was thrilled about because everything else about the car was perfect! Marque is a really honest, patient, and friendly guy and I would 100% make the two hour drive back to Auburn to buy my next car from him! Definitely changed my opinion about car dealers. Thank you! I just purchased a 2013 Camry Hybrid XLE to replace my previous vehicle of 07 Scion tC, which was also purchased brand-new at Herb Chamber Toyota at Auburn. Bob Walker was the salesperson who helped me from start to finish for this 2013 Camry hybrid vehicle. He was able to match up the offer that I got from another dealership, which saved me approx. one hundred miles of unnecessary driving. During the negotiation process, I was almost giving up on purchasing a car there as we were so far away on the trade-in price of my Scion tC. However, due to Bob's patience, efforts and not-giving up tendencies, he was able to talk to his manager to get us to a point where we all satisfied on the price of my trade. I would have to say if it wasn't for Bob's efforts to make this deal happen, I would not purchase my car at Herb Chamber Toyota at Auburn. Before I made a decision signing a paper with them, Bob also explained all the options (i.e. buy or lease) I could have to help me decide what may be the best option for me. During vehicle delivery, he described all the features of my brand new hybrid and make sure that I am ok to use them on my own. If you are in the market looking to buy a new/or used Toyota vehicle, I strongly recommend Bob Walker to you as I believe he will help you find your desirable car for a better price. More
